L'Orée du Castel - Vacation Home at the Foot of the Castle

L'Orée du Castel is an authentic small detached house from the Middle Ages (30 m²), which has remained faithful to its original architecture with its centuries-old stone facades. Ideal for a couple or a solo traveller, it offers a warm setting at the foot of the famous castle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The house is spread over three levels, connected by a central spiral staircase, offering different atmospheres on each floor:

L'Espace Nuit (Étage): An attic bedroom under the roof, quiet and bright. It has a double bed (160x200) prepared for your arrival, a desk area and a window offering a view of the Rhône Valley.

Le Cœur de Vie (First floor): You will find a kitchen equipped to prepare your meals independently (hob, microwave, refrigerator, Senseo coffee maker, kettle). We leave at your disposal the basic necessities (coffee, tea, condiments). The bathroom is also located on this level.PGJyPgPGJyPg
Le Salon de Fraîcheur (Vaulted Cellar): This old stone cellar has been converted into a relaxation room. Naturally fresh, it is perfect for resting, reading or tasting a local wine sheltered from the summer heat.

With a location in the heart of the village, you enjoy immediate access to the treasures of Châteauneuf-du-Pape:

A stone's throw away: The esplanade of the Château, a breathtaking point of view to admire the Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail.

Tastings: The prestigious wine estates and tasting cellars of the village are all within walking distance.

Exploration: Ideally located, the house is 15 minutes from Orange and 25 minutes from Avignon.

Services and practical information

To make your installation as easy as possible,
the reception (arrival/departure) will be provided by a trusted person.

To facilitate your physical welcome and the handing over of the keys, please inform them of your arrival time and Departure as soon as possible. This coordination is essential to receive you in the best conditions.

She will remain your local referent for any technical needs during your stay.

Thermal comfort: The house is equipped with reversible air conditioning (hot/cold) efficient on all levels.

Linen: Sheets and towels are provided free of charge.

Parking: A free parking lot (Parking du Château des Vergers) is only 150 metres away. We advise you to park directly there for a stress-free unloading of luggage.

Our animal friends: Small dogs are allowed (please let us know when you book).

Please note: The medieval architecture of the house and its spiral staircase unfortunately make it unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties.
