We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Orange, VA. Mark, the desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful during our time at the hotel. Our pets enjoyed plenty of area to walk and were greeted warmly, too. The lady in the breakfast room over the weekend ensured that the food was served hot and delicious. Our room was clean and well-stocked with towels and coffee. I definitely recommend this hotel for travelers. Barbara W

I liked the fact it is located near my family home and all activities that occur in Orange and the price was good. it's a very nice hotel clean, and customer service very nice and go beyound to help you. what i didn't like was the bed. the beds definitely needed an upgrade. I tossed and turned trying to get a good spot. I asked if there were other rooms with better beds since we decided to stay another night but all beds were installed same time and they are all the same.

The staff was great--especially Michael and a woman who was cooking and serving breakfast on Sunday. Very helpful and friendly. The pool was great--but the hot tub never warmed up beyond tepid. That was only nit-picky thing. I'd stay again.

Pros: pretty friendly staff and a large room with plenty of room for 5, decent breakfast, warm indoor pool. Cons: The water was rusty and smelled bad, and when I asked was confirmed not good to drink (this was probably partly due to local water issues). The hot tub was cold with no sign or mention on site or check-in. The AC was squeaky all night and not very efficient. The elevator smelled like old machinery. Some of the lights in our room didnt work. Overall impression was a place that had been neglected and was recently being improved (confirmed by staff.) Hopefully, the improvement continues and the fixes go more than wall deep, as it has potential to be a great place.
