“Shower water “ from upstairs dripped down on me in my bathroom in the middle of the night. That was gross. The room had the faint odor of a men’s locker room ( not pleasant!). The location was convenient for us and nearby Mexican restaurant was quiet good Desk staff good

I would not stay there again. Was surprised it was rated so high on hotels.com. the carpet didn't seem clean and other areas seem dirty as well. The bed was fine and the bathroom was fine.

Great location-needs upgrade

The location of the property was awesome. Staff was pleasant and breakfast was good too. The hotel is in DESPERATE need of upgrading. The room had a musty smell, in fact the hallway as well. Carpets probably need to be cleaned or replaced. The curtains were stained looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The chair in the room was dingy and could use a good cleaning and the ottoman was not clean either. Shower head was rusty and molding was peeling around the tub. You could tell the closet door was old and some of the hangers were rusted. In spite of it all, our stay was pleasant.

Truly honest review… I almost didn’t stay here because of the reviews. I’m glad I decided to stay. Does the room smell, yes but it’s not horrible and you get used to it. Other than the smell, the room is clean! The bathroom is clean and has great shower pressure. The pool felt amazing! There are several restaurants within walking distance. I felt safe being there as a solo woman traveling alone staying for 2 nights. Both women at the reception area were very polite. Savannah greeted me each time I came in. I would stay here again!

Great shower, vintage hotel.

1980 was a magical year, UGA actually won the National Title, the excess of the 70s gave way to the New Wave 80s, millions watched from the edge of our seats to find out who Shot J.R. Ewing. This hotel takes me back to those days. Nostalgic. The carpet has seen better days (the 90s maybe) and the decor hasn’t changed. The room was clean, however, and comfortable. The shower was the highlight, excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The last few places we stayed at were much newer, but anemic showers. A good choice for a night’s sleep and a shower, nothing beyond that. Which isn’t a bad thing overall.
