It was nice being able to enjoy the beach and multiple pools. We also took advantage of the shuttle to the marina. I booked through Expedia. I was not happy to see a $100/day “resort fee” on the final bill from the resort. Seems like this should have been included in the total price, or disclosed in bold when booking through Expedia.

Check in process was easy. Our room was clean and it was very nice to have access to multiple pools, the beach and pool towels. We had a leaking AC unit that flooded our floor and it took them 12 hours to fix it. Also, valet is mandatory making it harder to go anywhere fast.

If you get a room at Sweetgrass Inn with a water view, be prepared to hear children screaming in the pool below all day long. They are not just screams of delight - there are lots of screams of distress. The service and food at the Oystercatcher in the hotel were just mediocre- too bad they don’t raise the quality there. Overall we had fun but there is a lot of room for improvement.

While our view was of the parking lot/entry area, that seemed to be a booking mix-up on my part — the room itself was premium, just not a premium view. Aside from that, everything was truly top notch. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean, the pool area was fantastic, and the overall resort atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The food was great, and the location was perfect — close to so many things, including various tourist tours and activities. The service was honestly some of the best customer service we’ve experienced. Everyone we interacted with was so kind, helpful, and accommodating, which made the stay feel extra special. From the pool to the food, the staff, and the overall experience, Hyatt Wild Dunes Seagrass exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan to come back and would highly recommend it!
