Beautiful location on the harbor. You have access to the pool next door at the Beach Club, which is very nice and has great views. The place itself is clean, with a friendly staff, but the Harbor Resort is in desperate need of a paint job and some upkeep. It's one thing for the rooms to look dated, but it seems lazy to have AC vents falling off and paint chipping everywhere. That said, we would go back again because we got a nice deal.

Overall our stay was nice. The location was great and the shuttle to the city was convenient. A few things to improve on: there were dogs on our floor and one large dog woke us up multiple nights after 1130 PM and after midnight barking very loudly in the hallway. The owners were also talking loudly like it was daytime. Pets should be on a pet floor, not with other non-pet guests. It also would have been nice to light more than two firepits because most nights groups took them over so we couldn't sit there, but there were other pits not lit. Also there should be more options for breakfast other than just the expensive buffet. A continental option would have been nice because we had to drive to breakfast each day.

Excellent hotel staff. Two amazing coffee machines in the lobby. Press a button for your preferred drink and your choice of coffee bean and in less than 2 minutes you have a latte, mochaccino, espresso, hot chocolate, cappuccino, etc., at no cost. Dinner at the Fish House restaurant was excellent. However, the breakfast buffet was not worth $22. We upgraded to a harbor view room and it was worth it! The rooms could use some updating and a comfort height toilet would be good for older guests. The bed was really comfortable. The best bed out of 3 hotels qe stayed at during our trip.

Air conditioner leaked in the room and we had to have a repair guy come in to repair it. The coffee maker in the room did not work so we gave it to the front desk and never got a replacement. The shower was super noisy. Sounded like the shower head was going bad?

Safe and quiet with exceptional views of the harbor and the downtown area across the harbor. Pools were excellent with plenty of areas to sit and relax. This is also a kid friendly property with families wanting to enjoy the property.

This hotel reminds me of a Monet. From far away it appears to be a beautiful hotel, get up close and it is apparent the rooms are not well maintained. Our room could have used a wipe down of the bathroom walls at minimum! In the bedroom area, the bed skirts were ripped and falling off, paint splatters were on the curtains, and the painters didn’t move the furniture and had painted around it. The staff was nice and friendly, grounds well kept, and the shuttle to Charleston was nice.
