Basic cleaning was very good with plenty of bathroom linen for a long weekend. King bed was comfy. Has some maintenance issues. Ripped carpet in a number of spots. Screen door hard to move. Overflowing trash barrel in clear view just a few feet off the rear patio didn't give off a 'vacation vibe'. Speaking of the patio, it is NOT screened in as described. Was looking forward to sitting out there bug free. Glassware lacking in kitchen. 12 wine glasses not one drinking glass. My morning ice coffee in a wine glass was not elegant. Location not to bad. Quiet complex. Afternoon traffic was pretty bad though. Needed to plan around that. Next time I'm booking closer to downtown. Last point, you deal with a rental/vacation management company. Our vacation looked bleak with a early forecast for Hurricane Imelda to hit the area. We had some flexibility in our dates and I reached out to Royall Stays to see if I could switch my dates by a week or two. They showed availability in the Vrbo calendar. Was reminded they advised us to purchase trip insurance (which they indeed did at the time of booking) and could not help us. I did not purchase insurance, bad on me. But it seem like a simple request. Just change my dates to ones that were open. Was not looking to cancel. Perhaps a owner/individual host would have been more accommodating. In the end I would only recommend for a weekend visit, and buy trip insurance. )
