Chapin, SC is a great small town with wonderful people that greet you with a smile. Enjoy the amazing view from your screened in porch in the rocking chairs. Watch the sunset from your living room with full view of the lake. Enjoy a private dock with your own private boat ramp so bring your boat! You can also rent a boat at one of Lake Murray's many boat rental companies. Very large yard so you can enjoy family games and cook outs. Minutes from local shopping and restaurants. This cute little cottage was perfect for us to spend time at Lake Murray doing some spring fishing. It is a beautiful neighborhood with a great dock and boat ramp. It is close to stores and restaurants but feels secluded and peaceful. Candy is a great hostess providing all you need to enjoy your stay.

The host was amazing- beyond amazing and beyond accommodating. We wanted a place outside of University of South Carolina law school and it was perfect. It was peaceful and exactly as described. The porch is the star of this place. Our dogs were in heaven. Thank you.

Wonderful lake cabin

This small cabin right on the lake is exactly how it is pictured on VRBO. It was extremely clean and communication with Candy was immediate and helpful. We did have a little difficulty with the front door lock but Candy fixed it remotely right away. The kitchen needs more drinking glasses. The dog pen is fantastic and shaded and the dogs enjoyed being able to run free. All in all, it was a great long weekend getaway with the grandkids who wore themselves out jumping off the deck and swimming. Sunsets are beautiful off the back porch. Highly recommend this lake front cottage.

Wonderful weekend

We chose to stay close to home this year so we could take our senior pets on vacation with us. We found the perfect place in The Waterfront Cottage. It has a large fenced in yard overlooking the lake with beautiful views. The house was very cozy and beds were really comfortable. It had everything we needed and then some! Relaxed and quiet it was still only a few minutes into town for food and/or supplies. And Candice was readily available if needed. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Wonderful Lakefront Cottage!

This cottage was perfect for our South Carolina visit to attend a family wedding nearby. Very comfortable with a nice screened porch on the waterside. We brought a kayak so we also enjoyed paddling on the lake. Highly recommend!

Short getaway

We needed a short getaway and this place fit the bill. We loved the fact that it’s pet friendly with an amazing fenced area for the pups. It’s conveniently located to stores, yet in a private setting. Having our own boat ramp and dock was a plus. The property owner was very accommodating. Definitely plan on staying again.

Absolutely PERFECT!!!

I cannot possibly praise this place enough. My husband and I were traveling (with our two dogs) to Lake Murray for a weekend away after some difficult news. We had a different place rented and upon arrival it was not suitable to stay (broken glass, broken fence, etc). We were so disappointed but tried on a last ditch effort to contact another place/host to try to salvage our weekend. Thankfully we were able to connect with Candy through VRBO chat and she graciously agreed to let us rent the house last minute! She worked with me on the phone to figure out a late check in and listened to my panicked rambling about the previous places issues. (Mainly worried about keeping my dogs safe) Candy was so kind and assured me we would love her rental and our dogs would too! She was so right! The fenced in yard was perfect for our babies and they loved sitting on the dock with us! The sunset and sunrise were so beautiful over the lake and the water was still warm enough to swim our first day there. The home was clean and comforting and had everything we needed. Plenty of extra towels and blankets provided! She even provided some extra sheets to cover the couches so our dogs could sit with us. She truly thought of everything. The screened in porch was the best place for our morning coffee. We saw three deer cross the yard the first night and saw several fish and turtles in the lake. Everything was perfect. Candy truly saved our trip and provided the most welcoming happy home!

This house is so cozy and right on the water. I drank coffee on the dock. I read on the back porch facing the lake. I went running with my dogs. We watched the sun go down on the dock with a glass of wine. If the owners ever want to sell this place I am very much interested!

Lake Murray relaxing!

Weather was awesome the fishing was decent and the area and lake house was perfect just what we needed. Brought our dogs along and they had a blast as well! Definitely recommend this lake house for a weekend or week long get away and for a great little fishing trip and stay as well!

Adorable Lake Cottage

This is an awesome lake cottage that I would highly recommend to anyone. The property is super clean, open concept and pet friendly. Nice fenced in area for our little dachshund. It's quiet and relaxing with amazing views of Lake Murray right outside the huge screened in porch. The dock looks new and great for fishing, swimming and boating. Perfect location. It’s close to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Candy was an amazing host to work with. Quickly responded and great communication. Very welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Hidden Oasis

We have had some VRBO encounters. This is far best the well-kept and beautiful little get away my husband and I experienced. My husband was in heaven. We even brought our fur babies instead of having them kenneled. This was the best rental ever!!!!! The hostess is there for your every need, she is a peach. Thank you, Candance and husband, for a wonderful experience and stay. We will be back.

Our little hideaways!

This home away from home found itself a special place in our hearts as the backdrop to an amazing getaway with my spouse and three furrbabies! The fenced in area with the BBQ grill outside facing the lake was a great way to start the morning or end the night. The sunsets are divine. We brought our boat which was a breeze with their ramp and dock just steps away. They had a bonfire pit facing the lake. We did appreciate the screened in porch facing lake and the fans to circle air circulating! Candy, her husband and father who we came across were amazing and very helpful! Thank you all, looking forward to being back soon.
