ELIA SEASIDE NEA CHORA

The house “Elia Seaside Nea Chora”, is located 13 km from Chania airport, on the west side of a large sandy beach with the same name.
It is one of the favorite beaches of Chania residents , with a small fishing port, well organized, (Blue Flag 2013) ,shallow water suitable for children, ideal for swimming and sunbathing, only 10 minutes walk from the Venetian port & the marytime museum of Crete.
Even further west there is a large, quiet, sandy beach less crowded.
Nea Chora beach (Papanikolis Coast) is near the National swimming center of Chania and the Nautical Club, and provides many options for drinks and food and especially fresh fish in traditional taverns.
The house provides parking, 3 bedrooms,a living room ,3 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people.

Great location, beautiful views, very clean with nice beds and bathrooms. The check in process was unfortunate as the new employee thought they needed everyone’s passport to check in. There is no parking by the office and it was on a one way street. It would be so much easier if they met you at the property. They had to replace the lock box because it wasn’t working and we had to walk to the office after a big day of walking. Office manager was not very friendly.

Incredible location. Truly just a 1 minute walk as the beach is right there! 2 minutes to restaurants and markets. Place is amazing and I would stay there anytime!

We loved our stay at Ella seaside. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. We were able to walk to dinner every night and had a nice view of the sea with coffee from our balcony. We didn’t use the beach directly on front us to to swim or sun bath but we could have (instead we opted with Balos beach and Marathi just because we wanted to explore more). Balos beach did not disappoint!

Beautiful Apartment on the Beach

We had a fantastic stay at this rental apartment on Nea Chora beach. The second-story balcony offered a beautiful view of the Mediterranean, making it a perfect spot to relax. The hosts were extremely helpful and greeted us on the first morning with fresh pastries, which was a lovely touch. There is a little market on the corner for groceries, making it convenient for any needs. Nea Chora beach is a perfect, long sandy stretch with amazing swimming. It was an easy 15-minute walk to the Old Venetian port, allowing us to enjoy both the beach and the old city of Chania. This was a perfect way to experience the best of both worlds.

Better than expected

Located in a very central location and yow have the beach, Old Town Chania and Many excellent restaurants to walk to. The property management was excellent! Very comfortable for 5 adults, clean and the bathrooms were nice. Only negative, there were no cushions for the patio furniture and one chair was crack but didn’t stop us from enjoying the view. There was a nice comfy swing chair and 2 nice lounges. Overall, we were very happy with the property.

Magnificent place

One word to describe Elia Seaside…magnificent. We spent 7 nights in Chania. The apartment is conveniently located by the sea and a walking distance to a supermarket and a bakery. About a 20 minute walk to the Old Port of Chania. As for the apartment, the place was perfect. We were a family of four and the place was spacious to accommodate a family with 2 teenagers. The balcony with the sea view was amazing. If you want to spoil yourself this place is a must.

Pictures can be deceiving. When booking this property, the pictures did not show the torn down, graffitied lot next door. Wasn't thrilled with the neighborhood, the barking dogs all night long and the creepy men combing the beach just below the property. Check in needs to be done better. Our instructions were told us we were on the first floor, so we entered the building, tried the keys and they didn't work. Come to find out, our apt. was the next floor up; in reality the 2nd floor. We were supposed to have someone come meet us. I assumed they would be meeting us when we arrived as I had been keeping them apprised of our arrival (and this is the way it was in our apt in Athens) We met what looked like a maintenance guy; he gave us batteries (we had let them know one of the remotes for the a/c needed new batteries)reviewed nothing with us and was clearly in a hurry to split. Reached out the following day as one of the bedrooms had a mass of ants and there were some in the kitchen as well. Let them know we would be gone all day and could they leave some ant spray for us. They said would try. We arrived back at the apt and no spray, no communication. Overall it did not meet our expectations and I would not rent from this company again.

Wonderful stay in Chania

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment In Chania. It was very comfortable for 3 couples and the access to the beach was ideal for daily swims. There is a little grocery store a 2 minute walk away that had all the essentials. Maria was super helpful in assisting us in arranging taxis to dinner and to the ferry terminal.

The best vacation rental in Chania!

We stayed at Elias Nea Chora ground floor for ten days over the Labor Day weekend. The apartment was spacious, clean, with the beautiful view outside our sliding doors of endless water, and the music of the waves in our ears, so soothing to sleep to that. The beds were comfortable, and the entire decor was new. We met the neighbors directly upstairs staying in the second level Elias Nea Chora and they told us they had been renting for many years, and I totally understand that! The only criticisms I have (only two) was the checking in process - the man who came to meet us was not the right person to meet a new renter. It was obvious he didn't want to be there and rushed away as quickly as he could. As a consequence, we got: 1. NO information about the clothes washing machine 2. NO information about the microwave (that had no visible markings at any button, they had all been cleaned off) 3. NO information about how to dispose of garbage or recycling 4. NO information about how to best contact the management to ask questions - we didn't find out about their preferred way of contact until almost a week had gone by and we were contacting them through the vrbo app. The last comment I'd add is that the kitchen needs to be stocked with better things. There was a single cheap wooden cutting board that immediately broke into two flimsy pieces. There was no dish drain. There was not enough glasses, coffee cups, dishes. A great stay overall, and BEST LOCATION!!!

Phenomenal!

Our family was very pleased with the Seaside Apartment. It was spacious and very tastefully decorated, The beds and living room were comfortable and there was ample outdoor seating options. The kitchen is well-equipped for all levels of cooking and many fine restaurants are within walking distance (our favorite: To Stachi). There is a supermarket on the corner. We loved being over the beach and hearing the waves roll in. The teens could walk down the stairs to the beach and we could see them swimming from the deck. We enjoyed stunning sunrises and sunsets, and appreciated the close proximity to the old town via a board walk to the east. Walking to the west, we encountered a nature walk to several sandy beaches. We could go on and on about how wonderful our stay was!
