A clean comfy hotel suited more to hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. It's about 30 min walk to the town centre, not that that bothered me. Breakfasts are hearty. I've stayed here before due to the value for money it offers and it's right by the bus stop to get to the day's hiking start point.

We spent two weels on France. L'Arveyron Open House was by gsar the best part of our adventure. Best breakfasts, The staff was extremely helpful and the walking paths were excellent.

Beautiful location with view of mountains and glacier. Reataurant food is very tasty, but they have limited menu and they close at 830 pm. Uber/Bolt service are not reliable, drivers keep canceling. I guess thatbis issue at most of the France, unless ypu are in a big city. Only issue.... reception closes at 930 and you have to contact them if you are running late, but no one picks up the phone, and no iron for clothes and no hair dryer in the room. Though Iron is available upon request. Overall we loved it and will stay again.

While chosen to not be one of the many dormitory style hostels in the area, I woke to find the sheets covered in bed bugs having feasted on myself and my partner. While I have sympathy with the front desk they were not able to refund me and I am still in a dispute to resolve this with their management. Avoid unless you want to spend the next 24 hours steaming and high heat treating all your belongings to avoid bringing them home with you!
