Our stay at Hotel Certaldo could not have been better. The staff were exceptional and enhanced our stay. We loved the breakfast of a wide variety of options & our dinner was amazing. We loved walking to town, rode the funicular for the spectacular view & then returning to our hotel to cool off in the pool. Lovely hotel with superb facilities in a picturesque environment. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel staff from the receptionist to the waiters and waitresses were so friendly and exceptionally customer-focused. Especially, Mauro, our waiter in the mornings and in the evenings was brilliant and looked after us. His cappuccino was the best.

Wonderful in every way from the friendly staff to the luxury touches in the gorgeous rooms, to the best full breakfast that we’ve had in a budget friendly European hotel ever. Just about the only criticism I can mention is that the pool is a bit on the small side and was swarming with mosquitos, but the bartender was able to get us some repellant spray which mostly worked. The expansive grounds behind the hotel are gorgeous for walking barefoot in the grass and exploring the riverside and rapids. We used the hotel as our central location for exploring Tuscany and will definitely be back.
