Beachfront Cottage on Little Traverse Lake

Highly rated property with same owners and a new VRBO page! When we passed the torch from our aunt to us, we unfortunately lost all of our excellent reviews. We still have a few summer weeks left for new guests :)

Nestled just feet from the clear waters, the Irwin Cottage on Little Traverse Lake is the perfect get away for families and friends! Located between lovely Leland and scenic Glen Arbor, the Irwin Cottage offers the best of nature and beauty with the convenience of local beach towns. The cottage sleeps 9 guests comfortably in 4 bedrooms and accommodates 2 more people on a pull-out sofa in the den. There are two recently renovated bathrooms and laundry onsite. The cottage sits just feet from the sandy bottom lake, has a sandy beach, and is shallow for a long way out into the lake. This is great for small children. There is a raft, a dock, a rowboat, and 2 kayaks available for guests use. The kitchen is complete with a dishwasher and garbage disposal. All appliances are new and stainless steel and granite counter tops. The living room boasts a gas fireplace, great for cool mornings or a cozy late evening! The dining room table sits up to ten people. There is a gas grill available for guest use. The den has a large smart TV, as do the lakeside bedrooms. Guests can stream using their own accounts. Beautiful paradise

Our stay was wonderful. We loved the beach are and the water was like the Caribbean. Private area with beautiful forest. The owners were very helpful and will definitely be regulars.

All around Perfect Cozy Getaway

Awesome property! Perfect for kids, super clean and private! Michelle was extremely attentive and the check in/out process was seemless. Would highly recommend! The lake views are fantastic and the lake itself is perfect for a small family vacation.

Location, Location!

We have been coming to this area for years and this time brought friends! The location was perfect for quick drives to a lovely beach on Lake Michigan, Glen Arbor, and Fishtown, and very accessible to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. So much to do in this area. Little Traverse Lake was lovely and the kids had a great time in the shallow waters.

Loved our stay!

We loved our stay at the Irwin Cottage! Beautiful property and very accommodating host. We spent the majority of our time outside. The beach area is so nice and the water is so clear. The water is very shallow by the dock so kids can play freely. The home is very nice with comfortable couches and beds. Everything was very clean. Hope to be back again!

Wonderful cottage on a gorgeous lake

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful and well appointed cottage. Little Traverse lake is a little slice of heaven and this was the perfect house to enjoy it and the rest of the area. The clear water, sandy beach and kayaks were a hit! The house had everything one could want and then some. The hosts are lovely, super helpful, and communication was great. We will be back! Thank you!

Great location on private lake

Our family spanning three generations had a wonderul week at the Irwin Cottage! The house was stocked with everything we needed (including s'more supplies!) and is situated on a very quiet, private lake perfect for kayaking, swimming with kids, playing yard games, and nighttime stargazing and campfires. The house had plenty of space to spread out and is within hiking distance to Lake Michigan and a short drive to neighboring towns for dining, shopping, and other northern Michigan attractions. Owners were very welcoming and responsive to needs that arose throughout our stay.

Beautiful views and comfortable cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the end of June. Home was comfortable and host was easy to communicate with and helpful! Our party of 10 (grandparents, parents, and kids) had plenty of room with all of the bedrooms. We appreciated how kid-friendly the home was - shallow water, sandy beach, kayaks, bikes, board games, and tons of sand toys! Kitchen is well equipped. We also loved how private the beach was - you can't see neighbors from the house. Views are incredible. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing Family Cottage

My family and I had an incredible stay at this lovely cottage on Little Traverse Lake. The home is located 30 feet from the beach which secludes it from the other homes in the area that are much further away giving it a sense of privacy and exclusivity. The home itself had great views, plenty of room, and amenities for the family to enjoy. It was also just close enough to some local stores/restaurants to allow us to easily stock up on supplies. Michelle was responsive and very helpful in answering our questions as well as making special accommodations for family. The cottage was clean and overall exceeded our expectations. 5 star experience. This may be our new annual go to!
