Almost a small self contained flat with living room, kitchenette and en-suite, friendly family owned and run in a quiet hamlet in the countryside. Generous portions of good food and a popular cozy bar. Great value for money. A good base for exploring the area.

Excellent value for money. The facilities are reflected in the price. The proprietor, Michelle, was great and breakfast was excellent quality and the bacon & sausages were obviously from a butcher which was a really unexpected surprise. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The room was warm on our arrival, and had everything we required for our overnight stay. The room was clean and had plenty cupboard space. Breakfast the next morning was cooked freshly by Michelle, who was a great host. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

Fantastic

Had a great nights sleep at the Thistle. Spotlessly clean, warm and a very comfortable bed. The area around the inn is quiet and there is plenty of parking. Communication from Michelle was great, giving easy instructions for check in. Room was warm, spacious, a good shower and even had a fridge! Breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked. 10/10, will definitely stay when next in the area.
