A Little Slice of Heaven

Our group of four adults immensely enjoyed our week-long stay at this gorgeous, spacious, quiet, well-equipped, and comfortable home. Communication with Stephane before and during the stay was excellent. He was so responsive and helpful. We loved being only a few minutes away from Castenau-de-Montmiral and in easy driving distance from so many wonderful places to see, such as Albi (Cathedral!!!), Gaillac, Penne, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Bruniquel, and Puycelsi. One member of our group needed to see a doctor for a minor eye infection and was able to be helped in under an hour (with no appointment) as there is a three-doctor practice in town. "We'll have to charge you." said the doctor. Of course! And only 26 Euros was better than the cost of such a visit in the U.S.! The air conditioning found in 2 of the 3 bedrooms and the shared living spaces worked perfectly, even when temperatures soared close to 90F. The heated pool was a dream and the sunset views from the house were spectacular. This was our 11th trip to France, but our first to the Tarn area. We highly recommend Casa Guillarmou and this region of France.

Amazing property in Southwest French countryside

We loved our stay at Casa Guillermo. It was just like the pictures and more with sumptuous rooms and American kitchen in this old stone farm in the middle of beautiful countryside. Stephane and Geraldine had put some nice Christmas decorations for the season. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and star gazing. The village of Castelnau de Montmiral is literally 5 minutes away with a large pharmacy and a small grocer that has a lot of things including fresh bread. We cooked a lot at home and filled the fridge at the Leclerc in Gaillac, 15 minutes away. We loved the area and its medieval villages perched on a cliff! We also enjoyed the view and the property’s 3 small horses.

A perfect stay in southern France

The property and house is beautiful and very peaceful. We loved the heated pool and hot tub. It’s very close to wonderful places to visit. The hosts were great. This was a perfect place to stay in the countryside of southern France.

We had an amazing week stay with our family of 5 (3 teenagers) at the beautiful house of Géraldine & Stéphane! Beautiful views al around the house, very quit surroundings; very stylish and comfortable and spacious house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; comfortable beds; amazing big kitchen, dining room; great heated and clean pool; amazing outdoor terrace and garden. Beautiful villages and towns nearby; wineries; nature and peace and quit. Communication with Géraldine & Stéphane went very well and smooth and the give you all the privacy you need. Perfect place to relax

Fantastic stay, beautiful house and surroundings, amazing sunsets, couldn't ask for more. It's a quieter area of southern France with less tourists, but that's what we were looking for, and still plenty to see. Wonderful hosts and an easy process throughout the booking and our stay, will return!

Wonderful Countryside

This property offers Privacy, large kitchen, horses to watch and feed, large yard, away from the city, beautiful countryside and rolling hills, large sizing spaces, decent sized pool, hot tub, any many other wonderful things. The owners are onsite, attached, and willing to assist with anything necessary. If you need to work via internet, that maybe the only issue you’ll have, it’s cellular and a bit slow. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Five stars all the way

A beautiful, spacious airy contemporary renovation of a traditional stone building with gently valley breezes, shady seating areas, heated pool (and wood-burning fires for the winter). Views to die for, five minutes drive to the oldest Bastide in France and half a dozen more within 30 minutes. And it's got air conditioning! Stéphan and Geraldine are most welcoming hosts with complete respect for privacy but instantly responsive to any problems 
 and their English is better than my French!

Modern, comfortable retreat in the perfect location

A wonderful home from home, for one or two couples. Beautifully furnished and luxurious fittings, this spacious gĂźte had everything we wanted. The secluded grounds are very peaceful and the views are breathtaking. We look forward to returning soon!

Wonderful 5 star villa in a beautiful spot

This villa is simply beautiful. Spacious, spotless and tastefully furnished. Comfy beds (we all slept wonderfully), huge, well-equipped kitchen complete with well-stocked wine fridge, icemaker (a big hit with the kids) and a beautifully furnished outdoor area where we spent most of our time. The pool was heated to 30 degrees and we loved relaxing in the hot tub looking out over the gorgeous landscape, complete with little owls and red deer. Stephane and Geraldine were lovely welcoming hosts, very warm and helpful. They live next door but you would not know they were there unless you need something. There are many beautiful medieval villages in the area. We visited a few, including the stunning Castelnau de Montmiral itself, which is a five minute drive away, but spent most of our time lazing at the house, it was such a great place to be! Highly recommended.

Wow!

Quiet, secluded with breathtaking views of unspoiled countryside yet five minutes from shops and restaurants in France's oldest Bastide and a host of other beautiful small towns and villages within half an hour. Inside the property is as beautiful as outside with a thoughtful and interesting conversion; well-equipped throughout and finished to a high specification. Even better, the inside is air conditioned (when the temperature is hovering at 100F you REALLY appreciate it), the pool is heated and, sitting on a hill, there is usually a cool breeze as well as plenty of shade. The only thing you need to bring are books and DVDs – being relatively new, the house hasn't had a chance to build up the usual collection of 'left-behinds'. Not that we spent much time indoors; evenings were spent watching the sun set and the stars wink out! We have been coming to the Aquitaine for twenty years and this was the nicest property so far with very helpful yet unobtrusive hosts.

We spent a week at the property. Stephane (the host) couldn’t have been more helpful and kept in touch to guide us to do fun things. The Gite was better than expected and far larger than the images suggest. Stephane’s English is also very good so communication was good. All in all a 5 star stay. Beautifully appointed, idyllic property

Really warm and welcoming place. We went in Feb and it was cold. House lovely and warm and great wood burners. Decor has been well thought out. Good kitchen. Lots of different spaces to enjoy in house. Great jacuzzi bath. Didn’t use outdoor hot tub or pool as too cold. Would highly recommend.

Amazing, total luxury in a tranquil setting.

Owners were superb! Our 4 children (all under 5) adored the pool which was heated and the perfect temperature all day. The BBQ and outside area was perfect and the air con property was lovely to cool down in when our baby got too hot and needed feeding â˜ș We have stayed in 5* properties all over the world and this is certainly up there with the best of them! The owners have done a sensational job renovating the property. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. If you want a break away from it all this is the place to stop. Beautiful style in the Tarn

This property is stylish and comfortable. The location and setting are very lovely, bucolic and quiet. The pool has a great sunset view. The location is an easy drive to many wonderful sites in the Tarn. The host and hostess are kind and accomodating. We had a wonderful time at the house and exploring locally.

Si javais pu attribuer plus d'Ă©toiles, je l'aurais fait. La maison est spacieuse, dĂ©licieusement dĂ©corĂ©e. Tout est lĂ , il ne manque absolument rien. D'abord la vue absolument incroyable, le calme, ensuite la maison aux volumes immenses, les espaces justement occupĂ©s, les Ă©quipements, tout est dĂ©corĂ© avec goĂ»t. La piscine chauffĂ©e, le spa,...il y a mĂȘme un flipper de quoi faire un petit flash back temporel. Les chemins de randonnĂ©e directement Ă  proximitĂ©. La region offre beaucoup d'activitĂ©s et est riche de dĂ©lices. Merci Ă  nos hotes de nous avoir permis ce sejour magnifique dans leur belle propriĂ©tĂ©.
