This Hotel is amazing. It's easy to find and there restaurant also has amazing service and food. Parking is private and secure they have a great run behind the rooms on the main level if you are looking for pet friendly. Highly recommend this Hotel.

I can rave about Hotel y Restaurante El Guarco. What a pleasant stay we had! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The service was outstanding. The food was much better than expected; it was not your typical institutional-type menu or food. Breakfast was equally enjoyable with numerous choices, all expertly presented with a smile as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Cartago area. It was a treat.

We booked this hotel for its convenience. But even we were located in the back of the building, sometime the noise of the road was still very loud. Breakfast was made to order and was excellent. The room was a bit dated. We booked early and found out the room rate was cut to half when getting close. Not happy.
