We were excited for a reunion trip at Sea Colony. Spoke with the host couple of times before the trip with minor detail questions. Received a confirmation night before our arrival. Received text in morning with arrival details. Just after check in time our friends who already arrived noticed someone checking in to our unit. I contacted host, no response. I went back to check in info and noticed only the address was provided. I called Vrbo, no response from host. About an hour later host responds sorry double booked and they arrived first, later to find they booked for a week so my 2 day trip got bumped. Not fun trying to finf somewhere else to stay at check in. Thanks Amy, buyer be aware

Disliked: Cleanliness, location
We had booked this place for our anniversary to be able to get away and just sit out on the balcony and enjoy the sunrise, sunset and ocean breeze. We were literally on our way to Carolina Beach when I got a message from the host stating they had an issue, but they’d have to text me about it, not on the VRBO chat. I get a text that unfortunately they had an update the beginning of the month and come to find out the system had glitched and had double booked the house, and seems that we were the last ones to book. But they would make it right by renting a 2 bedroom to us, not on the beach and not wouldn’t charge us any extra for the additional bedroom. That definitely wasn’t a perk for us. We wouldn’t have used the extra bedroom and we wanted oceanfront, that’s what we paid for.They did give us our money back but it was just very disappointing to get that info after everything was planned out and on the road there.
