I’ll start by saying we picked very poor accommodations for our situation, so that’s on us. We were four adults siblings one SIL looking for a mini-reunion, meaning a good amount of communal time. The bedroom accommodations weren’t a good fit: one room with four bunkbeads suited no one and the garage bedroom space had an unacceptable musty smell, besides being virtually inaccessible (choice of spiral “staircase” or exterior access) from the main living area. There was no fan in what became the communal bathroom: awkward. TV viewing was disappointing: all we wanted were local network stations so we could perhaps watch football and local weather and we couldn’t do either. I liked the location’s beach access. I liked that there were incidentals like spices, oils, etc possibly left by former guests (which I absolutely appreciate) but one of our party mentioned the creamer was spoiled. There was already garbage in the kitchen trash can when we arrived. There was damage to ceilings which IMO detracts from the property. It bears noting somewhere that we were given the wrong address for our accommodations, which was frustrating and infuriating. When I expressed my frustration, I was told ‘what’s the big deal? It’s only a mile or so from here.’ That was the infuriating part. Plus the numerous and excessive fees, while I appreciate that they didn’t come as a surprise, make it unlikely that I personally would consider Vrbo as an option for future travel, even though it’s possible we ‘

Spring Break Stay

This location couldn’t be better. The kitchen and family room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The home also had a deck with a private walkway to the beach, so it’s really a great house for a family vacation. We had a great time!

Family Vacay

The house was absolutely perfect for our family stay. Being right on the beach is priceless with children ages 2 & 3. The sunrise views in the morning are beautiful & gets your day started on the right foot. Very centrally located - went to the aquarium one morning (10 minutes away), ice cream right across the street, Tiki Bar a few houses down & Publix one mile away. Love the retro feel of Carolina Beach & watched the surfers every day!

Everything about this house was just right for our group of 5. The only complaints we had were that the lock box for the key was a bit difficult to open and the showers are really small. But location was perfect and overall property was very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Bringing in the New Year

Enjoyed our time at this great location on Carolina Beach. Beautiful ocean views and close to a variety of restaurants, bars, etc. Location was close for a short drive to the NC Aquarium and a ferry ride to Southport, which made for a great day. House was comfy and we appreciated the private walkway to the beach to take our fur babies for daily strolls. Had a great view from the back deck for the New Year fireworks display at Kure Beach! Hope to return again soon -- had a great time at Sol Shine!

Enjoyed it very much...with the the exception of mother nature this week. We did have a couple good days...house was awesome...private access was great...dogs loved it as well...perfect week for a lot of back porch sitting...Fantastic views...we will return. Checkin process was seamless...directions to access everything was great. Could use a bigger grill!...That would be my only suggestion. Thumbs up!! Don't hesitate if you are looking for a nice place to stay...it won't last!!!

Graduation celebration

No problems or surprises at all. From photos, was a little concerned living space and dining table would be too small, but everyone was able to gather in den comfortably and we barely used the dining table since the was so much seating on decks and bar stools. Also appreciate all the starter paper goods . Amazing view and atmosphere with the large sliding doors. Will recommend highly.
