We were met by the owners, who are a lovely welcoming couple, and it was helpful to have the workings of the Lodge explained.The lodge was beautifully presented and spacious, the twin bedrooms in particular bigger than those in other lodges we have stayed in. The kitchen area well equipped and well planned. The situation of the lodge was perfect for us, beautifully quiet whilst still have good access to the facilities. There is a lot to do in the area and the Lakes are only a short drive away.The owners certainly went the extra mile, bringing us a teapot as the lodge didn't have one! If they hadn't bothered it certainly wouldn't have detracted from the holiday - but it was really nice that they did and it was much appreciated.
