Fantastic, friendly host's. All of the staff were amazing and it was such a chilled, relaxing atmosphere.
The hotel was characterful, steeped in history, yet fresh and very clean.
The breakfast choices were varied and made with the best locally sourced ingredients which were cooked to an outstanding level.
The only down side was that we were only staying one night😉, but we will definitely be back later in the year to experience some of the forest walks.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Our second stay here and still superb. Very large dog friendly room perfect with easy access to outside areas.
Evening dinner was excellent as was breakfast.
Great stay! David and Gill are the perfect hosts.
Somewhere between a bed-and-breakfast and a small luxury hotel, the staff go above and beyond to make your stay very comfortable. The gem of this location is the restaurant which is perfect for a couple, but not suitable for kids. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
A warm welcome, nothing too much trouble for the team.
Food served was excellent, locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared and served. All areas of the hotel were clean , spacious and with a just a lovely place to relax.
We absolutely loved our stay! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and did everything they could to look after us. The room was beautiful and so comfy, we left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Buster was the highlight of the trip! We will be back
Had a lovely time at Ty Mayr, had booked two days but stayed an extra day. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. A good location for driving to the castles in the area. David is very friendly and helpful, did everything possible to make our stay a nice experience. Buster the retriever is a nice plus too. Would stay here again.
A fairytale spot in South Wales. Truly. Every little thing perfect. However, if you're there in a Sunday night, eat at the inn as nothing else is open. We so enjoyed this place.
We had the most amazing stays. The inn keepers are super friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Our first night we decided to dine in their restaurant. The food selection and quality was as good as any fine dining restaurant. We ended up eating there all four of our nights. The breakfast in the morning also offered many choices and was delicious. We did not want to leave. It is truly the nicest B & B we have ever stayed in.

We were expected to move 3 times over our 3 night stay. Never ever done that before as the rooms were double booked.
We were warmly greeted at reception by David and Buster, who happens to be a golden retriever. Tea/coffee and delicious bara brith offered in the lounge. We stayed in the annex, which was a very large room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean with a generous and comfortable bed and a decent sized smart TV with free streaming services available. Although there's a very nice pub very close by, we chose to eat at Ty Mawr both nights, and we're glad we did. The food is fresh, locally sourced and very nicely cooked and presented. Breakfasts were equally impressive - particularly the berry and granola pots with yoghurt. The care and attention to detail that goes into making your stay at Ty Mawr special is obvious. We really enjoyed our experience and look forward to our next visit.
