Welcome to Poppy Cottage, a fully remodeled 2,400 sq. ft. single-story coastal retreat designed for comfort and easy beach living. This spacious home features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, along with convenient driveway and garage parking for up to 3 cars and additional street parking on a first-come, first-served basis (please avoid parking in front of neighboring homes). Inside, you'll find central air conditioning, high-speed mesh Wi-Fi, and a chef's kitchen perfect for group meals and entertaining. Sleeping arrangements include a primary suite with a king bed, smart TV, and en-suite bathroom with double vanity and walk-in shower; a guest suite with a queen bed, smart TV, and en-suite bath (also accessible from the hallway); a bunk room with two twin-over-twin beds; and a fourth bedroom with a full bed and twin trundle. Step outside to enjoy a private fenced backyard featuring a hot tub, cornhole, ping-pong, a gas grill, outdoor dining for six, fire pit seating, and an outdoor shower. A charming front courtyard with orange trees and lawn bowling adds to the relaxed coastal feel. Additional amenities include a washer/dryer, beach chairs, and beach toys. Guests have access to the entire home except the garage and owner's closet.

You are booking with Casago San Diego, a professional local property management company. We require guests to complete our own “Vacation Rental Agreement” after they've made their booking. We do this to ensure quality and consistency for our guests and our homeowners.

Stunning from the first step inside the property. We hosted a group of 8 and enjoyed the space with plenty of room for everyone. Every item imaginable. Spaces for everyone to get away on their own. Perfect location only 30 miles from the airport and close to beaches and all the towns we enjoyed.

Family fun trip

This house was perfect. It had the perfect amount of room and space for our family of 9- Two families and Grandma. The house was clean, fully stocked, and had a beautiful layout. The location was ideal for exploring north, near LA and for heading south towards San Diego. I would highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Southern California Getaway

Loved our stay in this spacious, updated, clean house that was close to everything we needed to get to in Carlsbad and San Diego. There was plenty of room inside and out for our multigenerational family getaway so being together and entertaining was truly enjoyable and there was also enough space for everyone to have private downtime or work from "home." The decor makes you feel like you're on vacation and we loved the fun extras like the coffee bar and ping pong table. The host was very responsive and helpful.

I didn't want to leave...

Poppy Cottage was beautiful, clean and serene. Truly a 10/10 place to stay. Someone put a lot of thought into the design and layout of this gem as a vacation respite (I mean, the outdoor space alone......). It was impeccably clean and the property management team was outstanding. I hope it will be available next time I'm in SoCal. Love, love, love.

AMAZING 5 Star Property with fantastic space inside and out!

This property was beautifully styled with all the modern conveniences you could ask for in a home. Large indoor eating table made dinners together a great experience. Outdoor seating and a hot tub were enjoyed by all. The grocery store and freeway are close making stocking up on supplies and going places very easy. When we are in the area again this will be our top choice property.

New Years Beach Fun

The Poppy Cottage is nicely decorated and set up for family or friends to enjoy easy access to the beaches in Carlsbad and the SD coast. We had 7 adults including two grandparents and three adult children and were very comfortable. The back yard with hot tub and fire pit was used nightly and the kitchen area is perfect for those big family gatherings. Highly recommend.

A fabulous stay at Poppy Cottage

We spent Thanksgiving week in this beautiful home with four adults and two kids. The house was perfect. It had everything that you could possibly think of in the kitchen and all kinds of toys and beach gear fit for a family. The photos don’t do it justice. Erik, our host, was incredibly responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The Perfect Place!!

We run a seminar that saves marriages that we are bringing from Australia and so our Australian team comes over it’s super close to the event so the location is perfect because our seminar is at the Holiday Inn in Carlsbad so it’s like eight minutes away but your place is absolutely perfect for our needs and we will be back for sure!!!

We Wish We Could Live Here!

Poppy Cottage was the perfect home-away-from home for our family: 2 grandparents, 3 adult children, and 2 school-age grandchildren. It is an updated house that is exceptionally clean, well-equipped with quality products, and provides plenty of space for 7+ people. The 3 full baths, large dining table for meals and family games, and uncluttered usable garage were definite plusses. Everyone enjoyed the super-relaxing spacious private patio with large dining table, comfortable sitting area, firepit area, outdoor spa, and ping pong table (which our 8-year old grandson couldn't get enough of!). The patio landscaping was a wonderful botanical bonus! No question that a lot of thought went into the design and execution of this property both inside and out. We would definitely stay here again! Lastly, the communication wih Casago management was exceptional, courteous, friendly and professional!

Stunning and Comfortable Rental

Poppy Cottage far out shined our expectations. The photos did make the place like wonderful but the reality was even better. It was very tastefully decorated along with being quite a comfortable place to spend two weeks with family. The layout was perfect and it was the most equipped place we have stayed in Carlsbad in 5 years. The owners were immediately responsive when we had any questions. It was up to date with their use of technology throughout the home. The yard area was just delightful. We spent evenings eating outside and enjoying the fire pit. The hot tube was an extra bonus. I would highly recommend this rental and it is a very short distance to the beach. The sunsets are stunning at the Camp Store just down Poinsettia. Excellent Rental!

Amazingly clean, best beds, and great service!

The property was very clean and homey. The bedroom setup worked great for our crew of 9. It was great for visiting legoland and we visited knotts and the zoo, which weren’t too far. The ping pong table was a hit with the kids, and the cornhole too! The keurig was missing a part when we got there, they resolved the issue the same day! We left our sandwiches in the fridge at checkout and couldn’t get back in because the code changes at checkout time, but they were nice enough to work with us to get back inside to grab our sandwiches for the road. We met the housekeepers on our way out and they were super nice too! Beds are soooo comfy and look to be brand new. They were so great that we just bought the same ones for our home! The sheets and towels were also clean and no pilling on the sheets, all seemed to be pretty new as well. Plenty of pots and pans to make pretty much any meal. There’s an instant pot too. Toaster worked great. Plenty of bowls, cups, plates, and mugs. There was spray oil, salt, pepper, a few spices and a little sugar and flour. Nice to have those things when you’re cooking at home. Kitchen and dining were plenty big for our group. Can’t say enough nice things about this place and their service! They even gifted us a few snacks for when we arrived.
