Very friendly vibe at hotel and excellent walkable location to downtown Carlsbad Had to request basic cutlery, plates etc for kitchenette but staff was happy to accommodate.

We stayed here to go to the street fair. The room was really good but there was a very bad smell in the hallway the whole time, luckily not in the room. Front desk people were great, very friendly. Free parking and a big lot, no trouble finding parking. There were a few sketchy people hanging around the lobby.

katie at the front was always amazing & always had a great attitude even early in the am which is hard for most people . they had pots and pans & anything else you needed on hand . the rooms were very spacious, the bed was so cozy that you felt right at home . the ac system was amazing . the housekeeping staff was great as well

Our stay at the Carlsbad Extended Stay was extremely disappointing. The first room had ants crawling on the bed, ceiling, sink, and toilet. After being moved twice, each room still had ants and even cockroaches. Staff were polite, but management ignored the issue entirely. This wasn’t a simple cleaning problem — it was a full infestation that made the stay very uncomfortable.

I would not recommend staying here. Let me start with the check in. I arrived at 3pm which was my check in time. The lady in the front I don’t know her know name but let me add she was rude. She let me know the room wasn’t ready. I asked her if she knew when or a time that it would be ready and she said I don’t know what to tell you but with an attitude. Finally I was able to check in and the manager Marisol was very nice. Upon entering the hallway to go to my room there was a smell throughout the hallway that was not pleasant and it smelled that way the whole stay. I stayed Friday-Monday. Entering the room it was hot and smelled like dog food? I noticed the floor was dirty throughout the whole room as well as the bathroom. The bathroom was dirty also. Let me get to the bad part now. I was laying in bed with my toddler and I noticed a dead ant on the bed, I then noticed a few ants crawling on the bed. I searched the room and found ants scattered individually throughout the room. I found live ants and dead ants in the shower and bathroom sink and counter. Saw a few dead ones on the kitchen counter. I then found some crawling on my toddler!! I couldn’t get away from the ants some were on towels and on the other bed we had in the room. I went to the front desk around 10-11pm and I asked the lady in the front if there was anyway we could switch rooms because there was ants and they were crawling on the bed and on our son. She told me no. I asked for a refund she told me no. 0/10

There was absolutely nothing in my room, not even a drinking cup no shampoo no anything had to go to the front desk to even get a cup. The comforter and the sheet had stains on it, and they were ants all in the bathtub as it was late and I was in a new area. I just stayed in the room and slept on top of the linens. I would’ve given it an even lower score, but the room was cleaned.
