Hotel felt and looked run down, carpet was worn throughout hotel looking dirty and old. Sink cracked in bathroom. Parking is ridiculous and expensive. Pool area in the morning had not been clean towels and cups and food all over the pool area. It was after 9am and staff had not cleaned up. Gift shop did not open on time about 30 min later than posted hours. Reservation for our family was incorrect and put a huge damper on our family get together. Breakfast food was good service was not attentive. Seems like hotel management is not attentive to the hotel needs and based on the expensive room rates there are better motels in the area to stay at.

Let me say that this is supposed to be celebrating 28th wedding anniversary. First night after coming back from dinner... we wanted to relax but unfortunately we could not open the screen door to our balcony. They wanted to have maintenance come in & fix it.... really? Its late at night and we wanted to relax. So they moved us to the empty room next door. We got settled in... everything seemed fine until we noticed that the AC was not working. Had to open the sliding door to get some cool breeze but couldn't leave it open cause we were on the first floor and open to the street. Again, they moved us to another room. Got there... the room was pleasant. We finally got to rest a little bit. Got breakfast, walked along the beach then got ready for our couples massage. After our massage got back to our room & I swear... the room smelled like rotten eggs. It was coming from the ac unit. We were livid at this time. Had their maintenance guy come up & said there was a smell so they had to move us again!!! At this point we were just like... let's get dinner & sleep it off. This was not the romantic getaway we were expecting to have... moving from room to room. We moved 4 times. We were not satisfied with the services provided to us at all. All I have to say... Cape Rey please do better.

This is our second time we are staying here. Unfortunately, our room was very dirty. My son and I walked around briefly in white socks, and the bottoms turned black almost immediately. The seating had sand on it, and it didn’t appear that the bedsheets had been changed. The toilet seat was yellowed and visibly stained. Overall, the room felt neglected, with outdated furniture and a general lack of cleanliness. There was no welcoming feeling at all. This stay was very disappointing.

The huge saving grace was the manager Greg. The trip started off very bumpy but Greg really went out of his way to remedy the situation and I appreciate him!

Everything about the property and the staff was excellent. The only thing I would have a comment on is that when we arrived the hotel room only had 1 bar of soap. I forgot to packet q tips, cotton and makeup remover wipes and had to request for these items. I do like the robot butler. That was really cool!

The location and restaurant were wonderful. Our room was terrible as our air conditioning was stuck at 79 degree! So it was super hot. We called twice and no one would come out to fix it even though they said they would. It was a shame too.
