Perhaps this hotel has been around for a long time, so it never lacks for guests. On certain issues, they don't handle things humanely. They just follow the rules and regulations, not caring whether you have an emergency. If you haven't thought everything through, that's your own problem—they won't care. Even if it falls within the hotel's scope of assistance. What you did wasn't wrong, but what if one day you need help too? I might choose your hotel again, but I won't recommend it to others. Because the hotel doesn't stand in the guest's shoes—only in the shoes of those reaping the profits.
