If you don’t feel like cooking, the village pub, also just metres away, serves classic dishes, and it’s only 8 miles to Cardigan where there’s a choice of shops and eateries – plus the historic castle. Walkers can stroll along the coast path, enjoying stunning views and looking out for seals and dolphins in the water as you go. Head to Cenarth Falls (8 miles) for a riverside wander and afternoon tea, or to New Quay, 12 miles away, for a dolphin-spotting boat trip.

Head up three steps to the decking and the front door, strolling inside to find a bright, modern space with a vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glazing. The welcoming lounge area features soft seating, a Smart TV and a pebble-effect electric fire – perfect for snuggling up after a day by the sea.
