The hotel could be so lovely, not obvious now have contacted people staying there. The bed and bedroom was ok but the bathroom could do with bleach and a very good clean. We had a lovely welcoming booking in and also the night porters where great

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet hotel. Had all the basic things you need for a cheap and cheerful stay. parking is limited but there is room on side streets. Only net curtains in the room so it let a lot of light in at night. Otherwise a lovely stay.

After reading reviews of The Mount Rooms we were hesitant about our stay, but we needn't have been. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room had obviously recently been refurbished and was clean and comfortable (with fab views) and the hotel was quiet. It was quite basic (we were glad we took toiletries), but we had a lovely stay. Recommended for a nice place for a budget stay in Barry.

Lovely stay

Just got back from a lovely weekend, it’s not posh but it’s fairly clean and comfortable, can’t complain for the price for 2 nights. Met some lovely people in the bar and the staff were all friendly. Thank you for having us.

Could have been a bigger room no good for a couple single room would be better for the size . Also no where to hang towels put toiletries . No house keeping while we were there . Did for a two night stay however very claustrophobic pictures on internet very deceiving . Still had a nice stay but there you are wouldn’t stay again as also no smoking area

Good value for money, great views from the upper floor on the front of the building. Near train station and moderate walk to town or island. Room very basic, single glazed window, very loud traffic noise "boy racers" all night. Wouldn't recommend staying while functions on, extremely loud music and room vibration until early hours.

Perfect for a cheap night away, needs tlc.

The staff were fantastic, the hotel's communal areas are perfect however the room we had was in desperate need of attention. Bedside tables were worn and hanging off the wall, the bath needed a clean. The room needs a bit of tlc. We slept lovely, it was quiet. For the price we cannot complain but what was advertised was not what we received.
