When we booked, Motel 6 not only said "Pet Friendly," but it advertised "Pets Stay Free!" When you chat with M6 on Twitter, their tag line at the top still advertises that. But, unfortunately, it isn't true. We had an emergency booking due to a funeral. We had to bring our four cats. We chose this hotel because "Pets Stay Free." When we arrived late at night, we were told that there is a $100 deposit for pets (which we paid and which was returned, fine). BUT, it's also only TWO pets that stay free. We were charged $80 non-refundable for two cats for two nights (20/pet/night). This is explained nowhere on Expedia and, again, it said "Pets Stay Free" in multiple places. When we tried discussing it with the staff, twice, we were told that their policy is their policy. But it's misleading when you advertise "pets stay free," is it not? They didn't care. "Well, if not, someone could bring 20 dogs," they said. And that's true... BUT... then you shouldn't be advertising that "Pets Stay Free," because they don't. It's false advertising. I'm not saying their policy is a bad one; I'm saying it's NOT the policy that's stated online and therefore, false advertising. They refused a refund of the $80, as did Motel 6 corporate. This was very disappointing and very dishonest. What does it do? It teaches you that you need to lie about pet numbers with Motel 6. That's what it teaches, sadly, because they're falsely advertising the policy, yet you're the one that will pay.

Have stayed here several times when visiting Snake Road in the Shawnee. It's always clean, and we've never had any problems. The microwave and refrigerator are a plus. Parking is easy, and check-in and check-out are easy.

The manager was friendly when we arrived. It was unexpected that the bathroom wasn't fully enclosed. There was a window in the shower that had no glass so we had to close two curtains when we showered. We found mold on our shower curtain. We found a roach in the bathroom as well. The TV was angled towards the ceiling and we didn't want to attempt to move it down as it did not seem sturdy on the wall. There wasn't a freezer in the refrigerator. House keeping did not come at all during our 2 night stay.

This is a no frills motel that offers great value for the money! I found it to be safe, quiet and convenient to dining, shopping and several nearby towns. Would not hesitate to stay here again! The owner and staff work hard to ensure a pleasant stay!

Quick easy one night stay while driving through.

Staff was friendly. Room was just OK for staying overnight and leaving the next morning. It appeared clean. The parking was well lit and they had security cameras. I chose this hotel because the price was great and our cat was no extra charge. The website did not mention an animal deposit like all the other hotels did. I was surprised at check in that there was a deposit of $100 which I will be fully refunded in a couple of days. I think that should be on the hotels.com page.
