About this property
Stylish Clifton Apartment - Number 5102
Entering the respite of a tranquil slatted timber walkway and the resultant dappled light it imbues, there’s a Zenlike cool and calm to soothe you. Upon crossing the substantial glass and steel pivot door’s threshold, one is immediately cocooned into a spacious beachside bolt hole. The styling is superlative. Smooth and sexy, with touches of Cigar lounge sophistication.
Dark and gleaming surfaces compete unobtrusively. Glossy black floors, matt curved walls the colour of coal and unrelenting walnut cladding juxtapose to clubby perfection.
Punctuated with saturated jewel-toned, mid-century velvet sofas of azure ocean blues and forest floor greens. Touches of cognac amber and whiskey gold radiate harmoniously through the dark and brooding spaces, artfully illuminated by state-of-the-art lighting.
Boasting a living room and a fully fitted walnut library lounge this one-bedroom apartment is in a league of its own. Peel back the heavy linen curtains and reveal the magnificence of the cool blue Atlantic Ocean in every direction. As far as the eye can see.
Spill out onto the generous balcony and soak in the procession of kayaks and sailboats or admire the bronzed superset as they amble by. Perched aloft the most desirable stretch of real estate in Africa – here, the style stakes are high and the comfort factor uncompromised.
Safely nestled into the foothill of Cape Town’s spectacular Lions Head, a mere meander from Clifton’s five world-famous Blue Flag beaches, Number 5101 is what dreamy beach holiday memories are made of. Clifton is famously the most sought-after real estate in Africa. Tucked between Bantry Bay and Camps Bay, the area is relatively wind-free.
Five pristine pearly white beaches on your doorstep and a stone’s throw away from all that Cape Town has to offer. Glittering nightlife, world-class restaurants, breathtaking nature and maximum adventure for the thrill seeker. This truly is a paradise playground for the most demanding global traveller.
Cape Town’s sunset strip, settle onto the balcony – kick back, relax and watch the barefoot, bikini-bronzed world go by.
This truly is a paradise playground for the most demanding global traveller.
Clifton is famously the most sought-after real estate in Africa.
Together with its immaculate white sands and glistening water, their bronzing bodies and designer sunglasses grace Clifton’s 4th beach with sufficient glamour and eco-savvy to deserve not only the ‘see and be seen’ status it has acquired but its blue flag status as well.
The beaches at Clifton are divided into four distinct coves by stretches of granite boulders and, whilst they may not be very imaginatively named, 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th, their beauty makes names rather superfluous. Each of the beaches is reached by a flight of stairs down from the road on which parking can sometimes be extremely difficult. This doesn’t hinder the crowds during peak season or in the evening when throngs of people head down to Clifton to partake in traditional sundowners in the presence of one of Cape Town’s legendary sunsets.
The four beaches of Clifton are well protected from the notorious south-easterly and, whilst there is the occasional wave, most simply lap at the shoreline. Staying here often has the added bonus of quiet evenings as the throngs tend to head off just up the road to Camps Bay’s many restaurants, clubs and bars as Clifton offers little in the way of restaurants and has no shops to speak of.
Uber is readily available and the My Citi bus stop is about 100 meters from the apartment.
All over Cape Town, you’ll find paid parking structures, free street parking, and in the City Bowl and a few other areas, such as Sea Point, paid street parking. There are no parking meters, so when you see the “pay and display” parking sign, look for the parking attendant – or most likely they’ll find you. Parking is currently under R5 per 15 minutes. In areas where street parking is free, expect to be approached by “car guards,” who ask for a tip in exchange for watching over your car.
Housekeeping included according to the duration of your stay. Please enquire with your host on confirmation.
