The service was good but not superior as you would expect at a place like this (room service accidentally broke our bathroom window one evening and it took long for them to conclude that they could not fix it so we had to put something temporary for it in order to use the bathroom without everyone seeing in)

I had the pleasure of staying at the Alphen Boutique Hotel in the Constantia area of Cape Town, and it was an exceptional experience. The property is absolutely amazing, blending modern conveniences with the charm of traditional Cape Dutch heritage. Updated old Cape elegance in a pastoral setting

Despite the fact that the Alphen is undergoing renovations and it was during Level 3 lockdown- we would t even have known. Our suite was impeccable- loved the 2 bathrooms! The complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated and the Marshall blue tooth speaker was a nice touch. The lovely receptionist, who’s name escapes me was delightful and couldn’t do enough for us! I wish I didn’t have to depart at the crack of dawn to make my flight, but fortunately my companion was able to have a delicious breakfast and enjoy a leisurely morning.
