Girls Getaway

We stayed in Cape Coral over the weekend while visiting family nearby and attending an event. I booked this property on a whim after looking at the photos and thinking how "over the top" it appeared.... photos do not lie! It looks like Liberace lives here! The narrative and description, however, are misleading regarding the "Cooktop ranges built for culinary royalty." Basically, if you like to cook and eat, as we do, then this is NOT the kitchen for you! It took over 45 minutes for a pot of water to come to a boil with the burner set on high. There is nowhere in the kitchen to prep anything... no counter tops. There are no racks in the oven, rendering it useless. The kitchen sinks are not, in fact, kitchen sinks. They are fancy glass bathroom sinks, and impossible to wash a dish in. The freezer has two tiny little knobs on either side to open the freezer... you have to have both hands empty to pull it open. There are enough dishes and silverware to feed 25/30 people, but only 4 pots to cook with, no pans... couldn't fry an egg if you wanted to. The Keurig did not work, so no morning coffee. While this home does appear "over the top", it needs some attention to details and some improvement. The basics should function... and they do not. Will not re-book.
