The property was recently restored with care and consideration, and today this historic home boasts sophisticated décor and four bedrooms with space for eight friends and family members.



The villa is set amid expansive gardens planted with rosemary, wildflowers and even vegetables. Let the scent of the herbs and Tuscan sun wash over you as you lounge by the outdoor patio or under the pergola, and as evening falls, serve aperitifs at one of the al-fresco dining areas as the barbecue heats up. After a day of sightseeing, stretch out in the woods inside the property or simply share your favourite snaps via Wi-Fi.



A recent restoration brought out the authentic character of this luxury vacation rental while giving it a modern . Cotto floors, beamed ceilings, shuttered windows and stone fireplaces give a warm, traditional look to the two sitting rooms, kitchen and formal dining room. Relaxing Villa - great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. Easy check in and check out process and the location was great. It was quiet and relaxing. Nice restaurants nearby. Plenty of information provided if you're looking for activities nearby. The furniture in the living room could use a little refreshing/cleaning otherwise it was the perfect Italian vacation! We felt like locals. :-)

Stunning Family Accommodation

Despite the cold start to our week in Lucca we had an amazing time at this property. We were able to spend several days of our visit just relaxing in the gardens and on the patio. Filippo, our contact, made sure that everything was sorted and we were able to reach him at any time if we had a question. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable and the garden is a dream with sunshine until early evening in May. The house is a short drive from Lucca but can also be reached by a lovely walk or cycle along the aquaduct. There are so many places to visit around the area we could easily have spent another week there. The kitchen equipment needs to be updated, as some of it isn’t really necessary but some of the everyday, necessary things are missing (potato peeler, whisk, normal knives) The chairs at the patio table need some proper cushions. A larger sun umbrella at the outside table would be good.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this luxurious villa in the country side. We were so torn between wanting to explore the Tuscany area and just relaxing with a glass of wine and the incredible view on the verandah. The villa had everything we could wish for - felt like we were back home. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! This place is truely magnificent! The property has so much to offer and you feel at home the moment you walk in the door! The interior is beautiful with so much attention to detail. Everything works as it should and the whole place is so well maintained and spotlessly clean. The garden is beautifully inviting to sit out and enjoy the tuscan sunshine! And last but not least, Sidrak and his family are so kind, welcoming and extremely accomodating & flexible. Brilliant service received from Monica. What a beautiful big Villa with a big kitchen with everything you need for your holiday. The bedrooms are modern and spacious. Beautiful grounds with plenty outside seating for entertaining. Overall a wonderful stay in a grand old Villa. Loved the cat, who always ran over to us to welcome us home. Kitchen should have been cleaned more thoroughly before we arrived. Mattresses in the two main bedrooms were old and sank in the middle. Upstairs bathroom oddly lacked towel hooks. I spite of all that the place still had charm.

Rustic, charming & authentic villa set in beautiful grounds

We loved the authenticity & decor of the villa. Just rustic enough but with modern touches. The villa was set on beautiful grounds with picturesque scenery. Monica, the property manager, was an excellent communicator & went over and above to assist us doing our stay. Many of the power points didn’t work & most windows downstairs were missing fly screens. It would also be useful to know before booking that the bell tower up the road , chimes every 30 minutes/24 hours per day. This took a bit of getting used to & kept us all awake at night during the first few days of our stay. Charming during the day, but annoying at night

Lucca stay

The property was in a nice location, only a few minutes drive to Lucca, the train station and the walled city. Lots of space for our family of 4. A really nice villa. Great grounds and a nice view of the mountains. Two issues we had. When we got to the house (mid Nov. outside temp of less than 55 degrees F) the heat in the house had not been turned on in advance of our check-in. Made for a cold first day and night as the house is large and took a while for the house to warm-up. Second, the listing states "clothes dryer". We expected there to be an electric clothes dryer. There was not. There are drying racks to hang wet clothes on. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend staying there.

Villa Viola June 2024

The villa is set in a peaceful location, beautiful grounds, with everything we needed to enjoy the villa to its best. The beds are super comfy, we all had great nights sleep. Monica was in touch pre arrival and kept in touch during our stay to make sure we had the best time we could. Lucca is a 7 minute drive away with great parking to explore the city. La Cecca restaurant is within easy walking distance, with an excellent choice of local foods. Walking back when it is dark you are escorted by the fireflies twinkling like fairy lights. From the terrace you over look the mountains that surround Lucca, stunning views which included watching birds of prey flying above and the call and glimpses of a Hoopoe. Highly recommend the property. The terrace is east facing which I can imagine in the height of summer is perfect, however, it would be nice to have another terrace that catches the evening sun. Bannisters on the stairs would help for people that have reduced mobility.
