A great location in the centre of Canterbury. The owner is most welcoming and kind. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is continental with lots of choice to eat in or take away. I recommend this property for a value for money city stay

Typical old lodge building in Canterbury so expect and old building. Excellent location right in middle of high street, but off to the side in a street so not too noisy. Sanjeewa the hotel manager was excellent and could not be more helpful.

Sanjeewa was very welcoming when we arrived. The hotel and rooms desperately need updating the tv didn’t work in our room, also the taps were loose and the holder for the shower was broken, however the bedding, towels were spotless and the hotel is in an excellent location. Breakfast was continental and was constantly topped up. Understand this is an old building but a bit of updating would make all the difference.

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for 5days. Sanjeewa was really nice and helpful, everyday he is checking on the guest for breakfasts and always asking if we need something. If we back to the Canterbury, we might stay here again.

Excellent breakfast, very clean and cosy rooms. Very calm location but really close to the main street with a lot of restaurants, pubs and shops. Sanjeewa was very kind and helpful in every possible way. We are really happy with our stay.

Breakfast was okay not too bad or too good stuff was really friendly we like them they always ready to help but we just had little problem with smell of carpets I understand dust and old makes smell but i think it’s time to change them other then that was good experience we liked it.

Really friendly staff. Customer service was excellent. The rooms are quite compact but are well suited to single or two-night stays in the city. The location is right in the heart of the city within easy walking distance of the museum and Marlowe theatre.
