Everything was perfect for an early Christmas trip to Asheville. The house was lovely, Mountain views all around and it snowed like rain. Amazing to watch the mountain tops cover with snow. The house itself was very cozy and stil smelled new. All the amenities were great. The back porch neighbors were goats sheep and chickens. All very friendly. The front pitch views were cattle grazing . Only suggestion would be to pave or gravel the entrance to the drive. It’s hard to see the drive entrance. Otherwise 10/10. We will be back!

Shepherd's Lodge was beautiful and clean. Connie was very responsive in responding to questions. The farm animals (cows, goats, sheep, chickens, next door were very welcoming. The unpaved road to the lodge was a little difficult to find at night and a bit muddy in the rain. One minor issue was a shortage of pillow cases for the upstairs bedroom but otherwise well stocked.

The property is just about perfect and I imagine in just a few weeks when fall rolls into the area, it will be spectacular. I lived and loved the colorado mountains for 25 yrs. I owned a mountain home right on the pudre river and this lodge is a woderful reminder of my life in Colorado.

This home was absolutely AMAZING! My son has committed to a.college here for football and we will be attempting to book here as much as possible! The view was wonderful as well! Our host was DELIGHTFUL and VERY HELPFUL!!!!

The place was like new and the views are beautiful. The owners were very hospitable and welcoming. If I go back to the Candler area I would hope to stay here again.
