Good hotel for a quick visit to Canberra close to national monuments. The breakfast had lota of good quality options and drinks in Speakers Corner were nice. The hotel is a lovely art deco space and I would recommend for a hotel centred stay.

Lovely 1920s building, helpful staff, attractive bar, good location for many sites and on a number of bus routes (Canberra is not a very pedestrian-friendly city). Only quibble would be that, as one of the, possibly the, leading hotel(s) in the Commonwealth capital, a wider selection of Australian wines, and notably some from the smaller wine regions (for example, Beechworth, VIC) could be available.
