Upon arrival at the hotel which appeared empty except for two derelict inoperable rusted, flat tired vehicles, and the operators vehicle parked near the reception area. The entry walkway was littered with a dirty rag, the entry was empty except for a barking small dog and it was cluttered and dark and there was an overpowering odor of air freshener. When a man finally showed up his demeanor was odd and he was followed by an equally odd woman when I questioned the outside conditions and asked to see the room she said you have to pay anyway which I questioned given the conditions. The room they showed me appeared tidy in a long empty way, musty, dusty, untouched, but the windows were all wide open and the air freshener odor was overwhelming. The open windows were needed but it was a first floor room so completely insecure with the windows open. I chose not to stay and am disputing paying for such an unsatisfactory lodging.
