Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo was a solid choice for Cairo, where hotel star ratings can be inconsistent and standards vary widely. In Egypt, I generally find that sticking with established international chains is the safest option, and Kempinski fit that role well. We received a room upgrade, which was very appreciated. The room itself was somewhat outdated—wallpaper was peeling in places—but by Cairo standards, it was still quite good. Having stayed in much rougher accommodations in the city, this felt comfortable and reliable overall. The café downstairs was very convenient, with surprisingly good sandwiches that came in handy during busy days. The rooftop bar was fine as well, though extremely smoky—I practically needed to air out my clothes afterward. Overall, Kempinski provided a dependable, comfortable stay in a challenging hotel market. While not luxurious by global five-star standards, it’s a safe and recommendable option for Cairo.

Great location in Garden City. Nice small rooftop pool and bar with good views over city. The Garden City suburb is quiet and Full of beautiful old buildings. We had a room overlooking the suburb not the Nile which was quiet. Mahmoud and others at breakfast service served us well. Clean hotel and more discreet and quiet than other hotels we have used in Cairo. Ideal for visiting AUC.
