The facilities were very good, just what we required and close to shopping. Slight distance to esplanade but not an issue to walk. Lives the swimming pool, we had a problem with our hot water cylinder and staff responded immediately and sorted same day. Wonderful stay.

This is my 3rd time staying at Southern Cross Atrium. Great location - walking distance to shopping centre, train, bus and Esplanade/Marina. Units are always very clean and kitchen and bathroom are well equipped. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The 3 pools are wonderful. My only 'complaint' is that a sauna is advertised but it is never operational.

Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. The location was really great. Really liked this place and would stay again. However, we were only given one very small shampoo for two people for 6 days and while they did give us more when we asked they gave us a hard time about it stating they are un serviced rooms. They should either state NO toiletries in their rooms or give enough for the number of people and number of nights. Unserviced is misleading you to think it is only a lack of housekeeping. So a bit of a turn-off there. Also sauna is not working with no signs that there are efforts to fix it. Too bad as that was one reason we booked the place.

Great location very close to Cairns Central Shopping Centre and the Cairns Railway Station. It was also 3 blocks or so to the museum, art gallery and the night market. Rooms were spotless, with a super comfy bed. We enjoyed our morning tea with all the essentials.
