Nice Cairns Motel

Warm welcome from owner showed where to park and chatted about where to eat etc. Room was comfortable and had all necessary facilities including swimming pool . Walking distance to pubs and cafes

We had room 8 upstairs and it was in desperate need of maintenance. a large section of Floor tiles in the living room were loose with no grout around them, so walking on them felt like they would break. The toilet did not flush properly and you needed a bucket of water to get it to flush, The back of the toilet area was filthy, and the oven had a huge section above it where the new oven had been installed, but was significantly shorter than the previous one, so there is just a big dirty gap above it. The staff at the hotel were lovely and overall the public area and pool were great. We had friends in 2 other units and they were also older and in need of some TLC, but were of a higher standard than the apartment (8) that we were given. The location was good. Thanks.
