This was my last min emergency hotel for the last 2 nights of a 3 night stay in Cairns because the hotel I originally booked was substandard. So the Crystalbrook Bailey was WONDERFUL by comparison. Only downside was the room was extremely compact, but well organized. I wh preferred 2 big bedside tables and more space on the bathroom counter, but we made it work. Coffee maker was espresso only, but they had a kettle and I pack my own coffee, sweetnlow & powdered creamer, so we made it work. I loved being in a corner room on a high floor with floor to ceiling windows

Breakfast was fine. The coffee machine rarely worked and in a place this size more than one machine is necessary. When the machine wasn’t available you had to purchase coffee from the bar. Everything else was fine.

A convenient and comfortable place to stay if you take the advertising with a grain of salt: Coffee pods are not Nespresso (only the machine is) and for the complimentary bikes they only have a total of 4 bikes! for the entire hotel. Supplies are a little on the short side: for a 3 night stay, no cleaning or towel service for in the serviced!? apartment, only 2 dishwasher tabs and laundry powder for 2 loads of washing for a washing machine that says liquid detergent only. Not 5 star.

Great location, 5 minutes from esplanade and lagoon pool and dozens of resturants. Spacious modern room. Bit hi tech - took me20 minutes to find the safe and several hours to work out howto turn off the light to the tea/ fridge area! The on site food was a bit basic, I arrived keen for lunch and menue was limited and expensive but all in all a great stay.
