Extraordinary location

We had a very relaxed stay and the hosts were amazing. L’Alpen Roc is an idyllic getaway in a stunning location, with panoramic views on the southern alps.

Warm, Caring Hosts

Cedrique and Stephan have a 5 bedroom chalet in the mountains of northeastern Provence, near Castellane. We were there off season, and in fact were the only guests on the night of our stay, It was selected because it was close to the Gorges de Verdon and about as far as we wanted to drive after leaving Milan. Hard to find, even with a GPS and a helpful neighbor. We finally stopped in the next village and a friendly lady, who knew Cedrique, called him and gave us directions. Once there, our hosts were wonderfully accommodating. Beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. Tip-call ahead to verify directions. Several rooms have mountain views. Cash Only.

Beautiful mountain B&B

L'alpen Roc was an amazing little B&B with incredibly lovely hosts who make you feel very welcome! The room we stayed in (double) was beautifully furnished, clean and tidy, and we had a very comfortable night's sleep! Stephane and Cedric went all out with homemade breakfast, and were very helpful with suggestions for places to visit. One thing to be aware of in non-snow season, there are not many nearby options for dinner that we could see, however the one local restaurant that was suggested was lovely.

Halte parfaite dans l’arriùre pays grassois

De passage pour une courte escapade en famille, l’Alpen Roc est un endroit parfait pour ĂȘtre Ă  proximitĂ© de la rĂ©serve des Monts d’Azur, Ă  18 min en voiture. Nous avons passĂ© une excellente nuit grĂące Ă  la literie de trĂšs bonne qualitĂ©, l’appartement que nous avions Ă©tait dans un Ă©tat irrĂ©prochable et trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©. Faute de temps, nous n’avons pas profitĂ© du bar ni du petit dĂ©jeuner car nous avions un programme chargĂ© pour la journĂ©e mais j’ai aperçu le petit dĂ©jeuner qui Ă©tait allĂ©chant. Les hĂŽtes Ă©taient accueillants et serviables, merci Ă  eux pour les conseils de visite.

Relax in montagna

Bella baita in montagna in un contesto incantevole. Suite pulita, confortevole, addirittura con bidet in bagno (siamo in Francia), grande simpatia e accoglienza dei proprietari, ottima colazione con prodotti genuini (torte e marmellate fatte in casa). Unico neo: non ci sono indicazioni (mi hanno spiegato che sono proibite in un parco protetto!), quindi Tom Tom e fermare qualche passante.

Super netter Aufenthalt in klasse AthmosphÀre

Sehr schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit separatem WC und separatem Bad, man erkennt sofort die Liebe zum Detail und die DekorationskĂŒnste der Gastgeber. Eine sehr schöne Mischung als "alt" und "modern", gekonnt und mit viel FingerspitzengefĂŒhl in Szene gesetzt. Stephan und Cedric sind sehr hilfsbereite und nette Gastgeber. Sie helfen immer weiter, sei es bei Tipps fĂŒr AusflĂŒge, die Buchung von Restaurants (den beiden einfach blind vertrauen - ihr werdet nicht enttĂ€uscht!) und einfach nur beim tĂ€glichen Smalltalk. Die Pension liegt in einem kleinen Bergdorf, abseits von Trubel und den typischen Tourismus-Strassen - daher fĂŒr alle geeignet, die gerne mal etwas ausspannen und die Natur in Ruhe genießen wollen.

Chalet d'hĂŽtes

Au calme, au vert : on est un peu au milieu de nul part mais c'Ă©tait mon objectif! L'Alpen Roc est en fait un beau chalet façon "chambre d'hotes" tenue par 2 hotes trĂšs sympathiques et attentifs. Ma chambre Ă©tait spacieuse, confortable, agrĂ©able et bien dĂ©corĂ©e (un peu sombre tout de mĂȘme). Le petit dĂ©jeuner en terrasse est trĂšs sympa. Pas de diner le soir, dommage vu le peu de solutions directement sur place (les hĂŽtes m'ont indiquĂ© quelques adresses satisfaisante aux alentours). Les environs sont trĂšs sympa Ă  parcourir en voiture, vĂ©lo ou Ă  pied (belle routes/vallĂ©es)
