🌿 ARRIVAL
Tucked into the hillside just behind the main cottage, the cabin feels secluded and private. From the parking area, pass through a livestock gate and follow a slate stepping‑stone path leading up to the cabin steps, with solar lights to guide you after dark.
Please note: the cabin is reached via a short bridleway suitable only for 4WD vehicles. If you’re not in a 4WD, you’re welcome to park in the small lay‑by at the top of the track — it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk down to the cabin. A handy cart/ trolley is left there for guests to use for their luggage.
🌲 THE CABIN
On the veranda, you’ll find the key safe, bench seating and space for muddy boots.
🪵 LIVING & DINING
Step through a double stable door into a spacious open‑plan living area centred around a multi‑fuel wood burner. The space is furnished with low accent chairs, soft natural‑fabric cushions, and cosy throws that invite you to settle in. Warm oiled plywood walls, soft dimmable lighting, and large jute rugs create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Textured contemporary art adds depth and ties the interior design to the surrounding landscape.
The dining table sits beside a picture window overlooking our grazing fields and the coastline — a perfect spot for slow breakfasts, reading, writing or working offline. A window blind lets natural light in while still giving full privacy from outside.
** Recent update: The cabin now has a new space‑saving gateleg (extendable) dining table and a refreshed layout for more floor space. Photos will be updated soon **
🍳 KITCHEN
A fully equipped kitchen with an integrated oven/grill, extractor fan, fridge with a small freezer compartment, and a practical, well‑organised sink area. Generous storage keeps the space calm and uncluttered, while cooking pots, oven dishes, plenty of utensils, stoneware dining sets, a cafetière, kettle, and toaster provide everything needed for simple meals or slow breakfasts.
Basic condiments include a selection of spices, extra‑virgin olive oil, sugar, tea, and fresh coffee.
A small welcome box with a few local essentials is provided to get you started, along with bottled water and fresh milk waiting in the fridge.
🚿 BATHROOM
Through wooden louvre doors, you’ll find a compact yet calming bathroom with double‑height ceilings and a skylight that opens the space. The red quarry‑tiled floor adds warmth and character, grounding the room in natural texture. A sage‑green tiled shower with an electric unit, a basin with bamboo mirror cabinet, a standard flushing loo, an electric towel rail, and open shelving complete the space.
Guest towels are provided.
🛏️ BEDROOM
A cosy sleeping area features a comfortable double bed, two chests of drawers, and generous shelf storage, with soft reading lights for slow, quiet evenings. A large picture window frames the coastal views, and a window blind filters daylight while maintaining full privacy from outside. Bedding is cotton‑linen, with a 15‑tog duvet, pillows, cushions, and locally woven wool blankets adding warmth and natural texture.
📚 MEZZANINE
Accessible via a wooden ladder, the mezzanine is a cosy reading nook overlooking the wood burner — a favourite spot for guests to unwind with a book or a glass of wine. Jute rugs underfoot, ample seating, soft cushions, warm blankets, a bookshelf, and a side table make it an inviting retreat. Skylights fill the space with natural light, though they won’t offer views until they’re replaced soon.
🔥 WOOD BURNER & LOGS
A complimentary supply of logs, kindling and organic firelighters are provided, with extra logs available for purchase during your stay.
🔧 HANDY EXTRAS
Includes two small rechargeable torches, a hairdryer, an extension lead, and a USB plug. There’s also a DAB radio with Bluetooth in the bedroom for music and podcasts.
🐾 DOG-FRIENDLY
We welcome one small–medium dog at the cabin. The garden is fully fenced, and there are miles of quiet walking routes straight from the door. To help us keep the space fresh for all guests, dogs must stay off the bed and furniture and must not be left unattended inside the cabin.
For our four‑legged guests, we can provide a bed, blanket, towels and bowls on request.
Please note: a dog lives on‑site in the main cottage.
📶 CONNECTIVITY
Wi‑Fi will be available in the cabin from 1 July 2026 via a new dedicated link from the main cottage. Mobile coverage is also generally good if you prefer to stay lightly connected.
🌾 OUTDOOR AREA
A spacious, fully fenced outdoor area that feels private and peaceful. It includes a wooden picnic table, Weber BBQ, fire pit, a bistro table with chairs, and deckchairs stored beside the cabin. Red Kites and Buzzards drift overhead, rabbits dart through the grass, and our sheep graze across the hillside, with even the occasional eagle making a rare appearance. Enjoy spectacular coastal views, beautiful sunsets, and wonderfully dark skies — the cabin sits within the Eryri Dark Sky Reserve, making it perfect for stargazing.
🌱 Rewilding in Progress — we’re currently seeding and rewilding the area around the cabin, so the grass is being left unmown while it establishes.
