The room smelled like nacho cheese but was otherwise clean. The park below the hotel offered space for me to walk my dogs who were allowed to stay at the hotel for a small fee. The back door to the parking lot did not lock and would allow anyone to come inside the hotel from the rear entrance even without a key. The ac ran well at first but then stopped running through the night.

There was an inch of dust on the baseboards around the entire room. The lamps beside the bedside were filthy. You could see the dust blowing on them and hanging from them. The bed mattress was sunken in deeply and out of shape. The top cover was filthy. Continental breakfast was good and the front desktop were very nice.

Excellent Place To Stay

I have stayed at La Quinta Inns before in other cities, and have always had positive experiences. The Butte, MT La Quinta was no exception. Very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The man at the front desk (did not catch his name, unfortunately), was very helpful, as the night before, in another city, I stayed at a lesser hotel, and did not get any sleep. I mentioned this to the clerk, who put me at the far end of the 4th floor, in a VERY comfortable room. Later, he recommended an excellent restaurant in town. I continue to be impressed with La Quinta in general, and the Butte hotel in particular.

This place is not like the pictures. It is filthy, grime all over the walls, broken fixtures in the bathroom, years of built up grime in the sink and tubs, carpet in need of replacement about five years ago. Extremely disappointed we chose to book here based off the average rating being good. The neighborhood is run down, and does not feel like a secure place to park your car at night.

We didn't appreciate that the property was not clean. The main lobby, elevators, hallways and rooms smelled bad. The common areas were not clean as if the property was short staffed. Loud, stress inducing music at check in counter. Wifi didn't work. First room smelled horrible. After complaining we were switched to a room which smelled better but still had a very strong blend of chemical smells. Hard to sleep and relax in such environment. We kept the window open the entire stay. Wouldn't stay here again.

We had a lively room that we appreciated very much. All the staff were friendly . We do have a complaint about housekeeping. Our room was barely serviced during our stay. They changed towels, but did not replenish any supplies or clean anything. I went to the front desk for soap, toilet paper, cups etc. the service was very late in the afternoon. One day we we t down at 6pm to request service
