Convenient for a pub and brewery tour of Burton. Building tired and quirky but room clean and comfortable bed. Only room and self catering possible, but town is close.
Rooms are nice and quirky, but getting a bit dilapidated. Staff are few and far between, and on the sullen side. Disappointingly the hotel provides no food or drinks any more (its breakfast used to be legendary). But it’s in a convenient location and easy to park.

The staff were lovely, but the shower was no more than a dribble.
It was next to a main road, and the single-glazed windows weren't ideal.

The suite was perfect and had everything we needed. It was warm and comfy. Sharon on reception was so helpful and approachable, she would put many a receptionist in the 5-star hotels I've stayed in to shame.
