Tucked into the mountainside at nearly 4,000 feet elevation, Bear Pen Cabin is a rustic yet cozy getaway surrounded by lush forest, winding trails, and babbling creeks. The drive up alone sets the tone — scenic, serene, and completely removed from the everyday.

Inside, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms (queen downstairs and king upstairs), a newly renovated kitchen and coffee bar, and warm, inviting spaces to unwind. When the evenings cool down, gather around the wood burning stove or the outdoor fireplace before soaking under the stars in the private hot tub on the deck.

Step outside and you're immediately on the trail — creeks, trees, and wildlife right at your doorstep. The cabin sleeps up to 4 guests and comes fully equipped with Starlink WiFi, a dedicated workspace, tv’s for streaming, games and a record player, so whether you're here to completely unplug or just slow down, you'll have everything you need.

Burnsville's charming town center is just a short and beautiful 20 minute drive away, but honestly? You may never want to leave the mountain.

The cabin was very cozy and clean, Julie went above and beyond for us. Our original booking was through the previous owner. She made special accommodations to allow us to keep our booking date. The outdoor space was a favorite part of the property and we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Great cabin and location and great host!
Stayed 4 nights in May 2026
