We had a disappointing stay at this property. The house itself is ok, but the stay was let down by a lack of any attention to any detail. On arrival we found the garden was severely overgrown, with weeds well over our knee height, the kitchen cupboards and pots and pans were sticky and dirty, the glasses had lipstick stains on them and had to be washed before using, one room was empty of any furniture or furnishings apart from a built in cabinet and a tv...? The long life milk left in the fridge was 6 months out of date. We tried to contact the hosts on checkin to see if a gardener could be arranged. We sent photos of the garden with this message, however we received no response until after we had checked out. It's a shame because the property could be good if maintained. The log fire is lovely, the bathrooms have been renovated, the yard's fully fenced and secure and the house is walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
