The air conditioning was on full all the time and there was no way of turning it down, the patio doors didnt close as the air conditioning has a pipe whoch sticks through it so all you hear is the cars all night and it rained very badly and the rain basically flooded the room because of this. The bathroom was terrible too. The sink was cracked and leaked constantly , the bath had mould and rot all over it, the shower was a rainfall shower but only 2 drops came out of it so we had to wash using a cup and use the tap. Overall it was a terrible place who claims it is part of ramada but is worse than most hostels. Avoid at all costs.

Good experience

San Telmo Flats ticked all the boxes...great sized room, excellent air conditioning (necessary!) & a location with easy access to the sights of Buenos Aires. Breakfast was a little disappointing, but being served in your room was great! Staff all very friendly, assisted with taxi to airport etc.

A Bit Run Down

This place is in a residential neighborhood. It is a bit run down and the bathrooms (at least the one in my room) was teeny tiny even just for one person. I think if you can afford to pay $10 more a night you can find something a bit nicer and in a better location of the city. The two gentlemen that worked during the day were very nice and helpful, the one at night seemed kind of grumpy, but customer service in Argentina is a hit or miss.

Cute little hotel. They booked us into a wrong room the first night and that room was terrible. They made us move to another room the next day which was a much nicer room.

Not so great...

Staff (actually a security member manning the door) were not helpful and unfortunately if you do not speak fluent Spanish, you won't be able to communicate. There was absolutely no water pressure and it was luke warm at best with only the hot tap turned on full strength, and there was no lighting in the room only 1 lamp. However for location the flats are 3 blocks from Plaza Dorrego, and a 25mins brisk walk to Plaza De Mayo. Would not stay there again.

Like a car without wheels.

It could have been satisfactory but wasn't. The light in the room and in the bathroom is inexistant, as the light bulbs are veeeeery weak and are less effective than candles. In fact, we couldn't see ourselves in the bathroom after nightfall. Secondly, the "kitchenette" is a sink, 2 glasses, 2 coffee cups, a microwave and a toaster: no kitchenware to prepare a meal, no spoon, fork, knife, plate or any other real life kitchen facility. The "free tea and coffee": one need to get down to the entrance lobby to poor himself a tea or coffee.

Disappointing Room but Great Location

First of all this is not really a hotel. It's more of an apartment/hotel. It doesn't really have a front desk. The lobby is messy, the rooms are small and badly designed. The desk is too high for the chair, the bathroom too small, and the room is too dark even to read a book at night. My room had a small balcony, which was nice. However, even though it is a new building, it feels a little shoddy and badly built. However, it is a great neighborhood, within a 10 minute walk to Plaza Dorrego. It was great to book this hotel on a weekend during the famous San Telmo Antique Market. Also, the price was good but beware. The photos look great, but I was disappointed with this hotel.

Telephone didn't work, and nobody cares. Bathroom was ok, but has functionality issues. This hotel expend to much water. But the location is the best if you like this kind of neighborhood.

Great for the promotional price

Hotel was clean, well located and excellently priced. The concierge was extremely helpful as well and recommended a great restaurant. We'll definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

Good Location

After 6months of travel we found this the coldest of receptions. We were exhausted after a 20 hour bus journey, arriving very early. We were told in sign language we could not check in to our room until 3pm, some 7.5 hours away. We were not even offered a cup of anything, and we had not a clue where to go so early. We tottered out on the street and found somewhere eventually to get a coffee. After walking around for a while we came back and took up residence in 2 chairs in the hallway. No effort was made to accommodate us until 2pm. Room was tiny,wardrobe doors falling off,safe did not work. Had to ask cleaning lady to give us a clean quilt cover. You have to ring down for your breakfast to be brought. A struggle every morning with language difficulty, even after 7 nights. Cheap and location is good. Woul not return.

Worse hotel, bad service and pee on toilet

This hotel is a joke and I they haven't closed because God exists. First, Alessandro from the front desk was very rude and not helpful at all. Then, when we got to the room, it was very dirty in the kitchen area and the toilet had pee stains on it. Second, the internet never worked, and the front desk kept saying they were working on that. We went for a walk for about four more hours and when we came back, we asked and they still didn't have internet. They said maybe tomorrow the technician will fix it. We decided to cancel our stay, talked to Alessandro about all the complain and he agreed to accept the cancellation and to give a full refund. This happened on March 19th. Today, March 26th we checked and we haven't received any refunds yet. We called expedia and when they talked to Alessandro, he said there was still no internet, so he couldn't issue a refund.... ONE WEEK, and still no internet? Something is shifty I would not recommend this hotel to anyone...also, when you try to book, it always says "2 rooms left with this price", just to push you, but the truth is that they have plenty of empty rooms and then, on the day of your booking, the price goes down because they did not have enough reservation, and they wouldn't adjust the price for you, this is what happened to me. BEWARE!

Cross between hotel room and service apartment

First stop in South America so I don't have a reference point. Stayed 4 nights and got an upgrade to a bigger room. This place is a cross between a hotel room and a service apartment as it is a room with a kettle and microwave and beds are made but sheets are not changed. Generally room and bathroom are clean except for the bathroom door due to proximity of the door to the toilet bowl... you get the picture. Service staff are exceptional eventhough there is maximum 2 staff at any one time, receptionist and housekeeper. I don't speak Spanish and they were always very helpful.

Last Minute and Wonderful

Booked this hotel very last minute after missing a flight.. Very surprised at the comfort and convenience of San Telmo Flats. Breakfast delivered to the room, free goodies in the mini bar comfortable beds, allowed a late check out. I am very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely stay here again!!

Decepção

Tinha uma reserva de um quarto quádruplo com 2 camas queen, o espaço do quarto é ótimo, tem um mini cozinha, só que a prateleira que havia em cima da pina estava caindo, chamamos o rapaz da recepção para ver, ele disse é só não usar a prateleira. A torneira da cozinha enorme, quase maior que o vão da pia, estava frouxa, também mostramos para o funcionário, ele não falou nada. Iluminação tanto do quarto, quanto do banheiro deixam MUITO a desejar. Ao entrar no banheiro você dá de cara com a pia, a porta abre e bate no vaso sanitário, para acessar o vaso você precisa passar de lado no espaço que sobrou entre a pia e a porta, depois de contorcer para fechar a porta e acessar o vaso sanitário. Acho muito anti higiênico banheira que é box também, mas até tudo bem não ia usar a banheira mesmo, porém o rejunte da banheira estava com lodo muito mal limpo. De 4 diárias ficamos 3 dias sem acesso a internet nos quartos, quando perguntamos os funcionários não sabiam responder o que houve. Só havia internet na recepção. Os funcionários muito mal capacitados. Teve um dia que não limparam nosso quarto. Enfim, não recomendo e não volto.
