This place must be the best-kept secret in the state. Rooms are large and comfortably furnished; bathroom may be old, loke the rest of the place, but had modern features. The breakfast is as over-the-top as I've seen in a few decades of travel, on business and for pleasure. The hospitality of the owner is beyond reproach; the labor he has invested to make this place a desirable destination has paid off wonderfully. For travel in that part of the country, it now is my go-to place.

The air conditioner in the room did not work and when I talked to staff I was told it just needed to be reset .. I had to reset it over and over till I gave up and was just uncomfortable. Also the door does not have a peep hole or an extra door lock like the common chain hatch. Breakfast was ok. Last time I stayed in June it was much better, overall it was quiet and safe.
