Porto Ottiolu is a gem nestled between Budoni and San Teodoro: a lively little village with one of Sardinia’s best-equipped marinas. Here you’ll find a 500-meter-long, snow-white beach, soft dunes, and cobalt-blue waters with a gently sloping seabed—perfect for families and children. The bay, known as Cala Ottiolu, offers easy access for people with disabilities, ample parking, kiosks, and beach services including umbrella and lounge chair rentals.

The coastline is a paradise for windsurfing, sport fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving; the trails leading to Punta Li Turchi reveal hidden coves such as the Spiaggia dei Francesi. With over 400 boat slips sheltered from the wind, the harbor is the ideal starting point for boat excursions: from the Tavolara–Capo Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area to the La Maddalena archipelago and the Gulf of Orosei. Around the central square, you’ll find restaurants, bars, and boutiques where you can enjoy the evening amid authentic Sardinian ambiance and modern amenities.


How to Get to Porto Ottiolu:

1️⃣ By car
From the Olbia Costa Smeralda arrivals terminal, follow the signs for “SS 131 DCN / Nuoro-Cagliari.”

Merge onto the SS 131 DCN and continue on this road for 28 km.

Take the Budoni Nord exit – Agrustos / Porto Ottiolu.

At the roundabout, turn left onto SP 1, then follow the signs for “Porto Ottiolu/Marina” for about 3 km: in 5 minutes, you’ll reach the small square at the port.

Tip: During peak season, leave early (before 10:00 a.m.) or after 6:00 p.m. to avoid traffic on the first 15 km of the highway.

2️⃣ By ARST bus
Ticket: "one-way" ticket for the Olbia-Budoni zone, available on the ARST app or at tobacco shops/the train station (€2.20).

Olbia Via Vicenza 40 bus stop: across from the MD supermarket; if you’re arriving by train from Cagliari or Sassari, get off at the FS station and walk 600 m south.

Summer 2025 schedule (Mon–Sat): 7:10 a.m. • 2:22 PM • 4:16 PM • 5:53 PM, arriving in Ottiolu ~48 min later. On Sundays, you’ll need to transfer in San Teodoro (line 514).

It’s a 400-meter walk from the Ottiolu terminal to “Casetta di Gioia.”

3️⃣ Taxi or transfer
Official Olbia taxi (tariff 2025): €2.80 base fare + €1.80/km → ~€85 during the day, 15% surcharge after 10:00 PM.

Private transfer booked online: flat rate of €70 (sedan for 1–3 passengers) / €100 (minivan for 4–8 passengers), including a child seat and assistance in case of flight delays. Book 24 hours in advance to have the driver waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a sign bearing your name.

4️⃣ Other options
Car-sharing (Enjoy, Lyna) not yet available in Olbia in 2025.

Scooter/e-bike rentals: pickup point at the airport’s multi-level parking garage; travel time 40–45 minutes via the scenic SS 125; recommended only for experienced riders due to the mistral wind.

To sum up: the simplest option is by car (30 min); the ARST bus is inexpensive but has limited schedules; while a pre-booked transfer offers total comfort at a fixed price. Whichever mode of transportation you choose, in less than an hour after takeoff or docking, you’ll already be enjoying the cobalt blue waters of Porto Ottiolu!

- In-person check-in upon arrival (from 3:00 PM); self-check-out using the smart lock by 10:00 a.m.
- Arrivals after 9:00 p.m. must be arranged in advance.

Parking
- Free street parking in front of the entrance; no private parking spaces on the property.

Linens
- Sheets and towels included; beach towels not provided.
- Extra sets available upon request for a fee.

Eco-house rules
- Recycling is mandatory (kit and schedule provided in the house).
- Use the air conditioner with the windows closed; turn it off when you leave.
- Quiet hours 22:00-08:00.

Extra Services
- Round-trip transfer to/from the port or Olbia airport upon request, with a surcharge and reservation required at least 24 hours in advance.
- Crib and travel cot rentals, as well as a mid-stay cleaning service, are available at a special rate.
