Pengelly at South Forda Park is in a 9-acre oasis of countryside calm, ideally located within short distance of North Cornwall & North Devon’s finest beaches and attractions. South Forda Park offers 4 self-catering lodges within beautiful grounds, each with either a private veranda or garden. ​ At South Forda Park we embrace a ‘laid back luxury’ approach, offering stylish accommodation with all the comforts of being at home. No need to leave man’s best friend at home either as 3 of our 4 lodges are dog friendly. As our guest you are free to roam the 9 acres of woodland and meadows we have to offer, including access to fish in our 2 x coarse fishing lakes. Alternatively, if fishing’s not your thing, you can choose to read a book with a glass of wine alongside the river!

Great little lodge with lots of high end gadgets. What would have been great as we didn’t know the area maps of local walks. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

The Pengelly Lodge at South Forda Park in Kilkhampton is an amazing little haven set in beautiful Cornish countryside. We stayed for four nights and were very sad to leave. It had everything you could wish for, so much so I hardly had to use anything that I packed (and I pack everything for self catering stays). The overall quality of everything provided was very high standard, not your usual lower/cheaper standards you usually get in holiday accommodation. It is a home away from home. The land available right in front of the property was fantastic for our black lab, he adored running around freely, we didn’t even get to see all of it. The host, Elliott, is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Very friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend this little retreat is you like, quality, luxury, peace and serenity!!! We will be booking to go back next year

Little hidden gem !

Just returned from a last minute 4 day break at Pengally Lodge and had an amazing stay. Our two young kids loved the freedom of running round the beautiful grounds, playing on the rope swing, roaming through the forest with our dog looking for deer but most of all fishing in the lake, where my son caught his first ever fish ! The Lodge itself is beautifully decorated to a very high, modern standard with all the mod cons and some nice little touches. We were lucky enough to have some sunny weather and could enjoy sitting on the veranda watching the kids play. It was pretty well situated - not to far from Bude for a day trip and a couple of other lovely beaches if you fancied a change of scenery. Couple of dog friendly pubs nearby and a fish and chip shop if your fed up with cooking. Elliott the owner made our stay all the more enjoyable, he was really knowledgable on the local area, and nothing was too much trouble for him - he had endless patience with the kids and made a nice change for my daughter to be calling Elliott all the time instead of mum lol !!! We would certainly visit again, as we had such a relaxing stay, highly recommended !
