There are several amusement parks in the area, including Slagharen Park (15 km), Hellendoorn Adventure Park (27 km) and WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo Emmen (40 km). The cozy city of Enschede (45 km) is recommended for a day trip because of its strikingly large selection of stores, restaurants and bars. Just on the border with Germany you will find the fascinating nature reserve Itterbecker Heide (10 km) and the historic town of Lingen (54 km).
