The elevator didn’t work but they didn’t inform our group prior to arrival. One of our members saw the cleaning staff using the elevator. When they said oh the elevator is working the staff member said no as she took the elevator up. People can see. The stairwell smelled horrible. Our room smelled musty so I had to buy air fresheners other than that the room was clean. Had to go to the first floor for ice. Not up to par but no discount was given. Stay here as only a last resort.

Also, they have a phone at the desk system for service, only one morning, only a machine would answer the phone, and of course there was no one at the desk, or I wouldn't have been trying the phone.

Disappointing Stay.

The elevator was out of order. They put us on the fourth floor, but my wife has heart issues and was not able to climb the stairs. Luckily my son was able to trade rooms with us as he and his wife were on the second floor. Also, the ice machine was out of order and I had to go downstairs to get ice. It was obvious that it had been out of order for a while. Overall it was a disappointing stay. After staying at La Quinta for many years I have doubts as to whether we will ever be staying at another one. Thank you.

GREAT STAFF! OWNERS NEED TO FIX PROPERTY ISSUES.

Great staff. Bless their hearts, they are working with limited facilities and doing their best to accommodate the guests. I am very disappointed with the maintenance of the facilities. The elevator is broken and has been, repeatedly.

The room was clean but the dining area wasn’t great. Breakfast was not good at all! The elevator was out of order when we checked out so had to haul luggage down four floors. Not a problem for us but there was a guy with a knee scooter that was non weight bearing after surgery that checked in ahead of us! Hope he managed to get downstairs! Staff was nice but they seemed a little frazzled and short handed.

Elevator was not working had to climb 4 flights of stairs with a luggage. Staff at the front desk were overwhelmed with clients due to busy event going on in Brownwood. Manager was short/impatient with other staff and guests. The stairwells were dirty with dead crickets and other food. A vacuum of the landing areas would help. Overall not impressed with hotel and will not stay there again. Not worth $200 a night I paid.

Elevators were broken over half the time we were there, they tried to put us on the 4th floor knowing this. My elderly father had to climb stairs the whole time pretty much. They did move us to the 2nd floor after we complained but I feel as if they should have told us before me we even checked in. The stairways were dirty with dead bug carcasses all over the place. Beds are not comfortable at all. Our entire hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. The staff was very nice though.

Disappointing

We haven’t stayed at this property in over a year because of the poor condition, however, we heard it had improved, so tried again. We were disappointed, again, with the condition of the property. The staff was excellent and accommodating—-but, they cannot fix an unreliable elevator and whatever was keeping the hallway air unconditioned.
