Schoodic Escape is a new beautiful waterfront log Maine cabin located on the shores of Schoodic Lake in Brownville, Maine, which is situated in the great recreational area of the Katahdin Region. Schoodic Lake is known as one of the state’s premier fishing areas.

Step out to the private dock for a spectacular view of the 10 mile long and 2 mile wide spring fed, crystal clear depths of Schoodic Lake. Our private dock overlooks picturesque Schoodic Lake, which is perfect for swimming, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. Schoodic Lake is one of the finest Togue fishing spots in the northeast. You can, also, find excellent hunting, hiking, moose and bird watching opportunities in the area. The log cabin rental is only minutes from the public boat launch, Knight’s Landing. Our Maine cabin is ideally situated and fully equipped to ensure that you have a pleasurable getaway in a beautiful setting.

The rustic look of exposed beams and a fieldstone fireplace are complemented by the Maine cabin’s modern amenities. It is a wonderful place for two to six people to escape for a Maine vacation. Schoodic Escape Cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, three bedrooms, a family room, a gear room, and a large covered veranda! We have provided an outdoor grill on our deck for cooking and gathering outdoors while overlooking the lake. In fact, our vacation rental cabin offers everything you will need for your family and friends to escape for a great adventure.

For snowmobilers, it’s located near some of the best snowmobile trails in the state. There is a covered snowmobile veranda to park your machines for easy access. Whether your preferences are for snowmobiling, downhill or cross-country skiing, boating, fishing or you are simply seeking adventure, our lake cabin is situated in a wonderland of opportunities that allows you to choose how to enjoy your escape!
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private balcony or patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.

Awesome cabin in beautiful schoodic lake. We had a great time and everything was easy with the property manager. Only downside was the security system cameras were on and active during our stay which left a feeling of distrust and breach of privacy. Despite this, would stay here again.

It is ok, a bit out of the way. Too far for us to travel to. We should have checked before boking. We did relax, really nothing else to do. We did have a dead mouse (stink) before we left, and the vacuum cleaner needs some work. One chair needed gluing so we couldn't use it. Other than that it was ok. Good for hunters or fishermen. Please add a clock or two and maybe a washer and dyer. Still nice.

This is at least the 5th time our family has stayed at this lovely cabin that feels like a second home…right on the shore of our favorite lake. This year was even more special as it was my grandson’s first time! Schoodic Escape is spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. Communication with the owner is always flawless and prompt. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoy sipping coffee in the morning looking over the lake and cocktails in the evening while playing dominoes at the large kitchen table. Already booked next year!

Location was great! Internet signal was strong which was necessary because there was no cell service (we had to drive back a few miles to get enough service to look up the door code when we’re were checking in initially). House was missing a few amenities to make it truly comfortable, including air conditioning, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. We stayed during a very hot week (95 degree days), and the windows do not have shades or curtains, so there was no real way to keep the house cool without air conditioning, and the box fans provided didn’t fit in the smaller sized windows. Seriously suggest shades or curtains for the upstairs bedrooms which got past 90 degrees in the afternoon/early evening which can be a health hazard for young kids. Smaller available amenities were bare bones - some spices and plenty of cookware, but no cooking oil, dollar store shampoo/conditioner provided, but no face/body soap. We expected a bit more for the price we were paying.

We love it here at Schoodic Lake the house is beautiful and perfect for my family! It’s not far from my aunt Cindy Davis who lives on the lake view side of Schoodic lake so we just take are 4wheeler through the trails by Wildwood and go visiting! There are some many trails by us to ride on my family and I enjoy are trip to Maine every year and we are already booked for next year!!! Can’t wait to come back next year and for years to come!! Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home every year we come up!!!

Wonderful week. Every day was warm and sunny, with most days in the 80’s. Amazing being it’s mid September. The lake was as refreshing as ever. The camp internet did work very well too. All said an excellent trip indeed…

Perfect getaway!

This cabin was perfect for my family of 4 and 2 dogs! We swam and fished while also exploring Bangor and the little town of Milo. It wasn't as secluded as I thought it was, there other cabins around. But the people across the street were friendly and no one was staying in the one next to us so it worked out. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us :)

Perfect Setting

We had a wonderful time at this house on Schoodic lake. Very clean like that we enjoyed swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and also caught smallmouth bass. Inside the house was clean and equipped especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Overall it was an amazing vacation with my family.
